Dear All,

I'm heading to Taiwan via Cathay Pacific end of this year, will be stop over at HK International Airport for transit.

Well, I had a couple of question here:

How's is Cathay Pacific Airline? Is their economy class seat good? I m heard many bad review bout it. Going for the round trip wonder is there on-board entertainment?!

How is HK International Airport? Many shop to walk around? Since I m going there for transit, tat means i had a couple hours to spend?

Any budget clean hotel to recommend to stay in Taipei? Near ximending or shilin or MRT station? Going there for about 9days.

Exchange MYR to USD first only then change to NT in Taoyuan airport for better rate? feel like paying double commision?!

Please do advice me. Thanks! thumbup.gif

there are pretty many choices for a RM150 budget nearby Zhongshan Airport area.
u can take a look:
http://www.hoteltraveltaiwan.com/
http://hotel.network.com.tw/

quite alot information you can get there.

for the temperature wise, i think it'll getting even colder, if rain even FAR colder. Prepare some cloth to keep yourself warm
*
Any hotel suggestion? Or any of you had try some nearby? I've been through many site of the information regarding the hotels but due to limited pictures, it cause me bit hard to decide which one is better?!

QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Nov 8 2011, 01:50 PM)
I'm going there on the 4 th.i wonder how cold can it get. One thin long sleeve and a jacket sufficient?
*
Well, yes it was cold. The temperature shows around 17'C, roughly like Genting Highlands at night. But if the wind consistently blow at u at lower temp, soon or later its may freeze u up... So i m guess a jacket, long sleeve, scarf, socks, glove shud be sufficient ...

How long you heading there?

Wa..need scarf n gloves too? Didn't intend to get that cuz i'm a person who can stand cold but then again, its possible to buy it there right if i do need. Going there for 6 nights
*
QUOTE(aiyume @ Nov 10 2011, 10:53 AM)
should be able to get there and the price are not much different compared to KL price. might be even cheaper than getting from those Universal Travellers etc here.
*
Yeah... Its cheaper! Cheaper rate I bought was at NT35 for scarf. But this price way back around 2009. But Can you last/tahan that long until you buy it at Taiwan?

I planned flying Taiwan next month. which totaled up about 8days. Arrived at TPE at 1st day night!

Planned to bring around RM2.5k to spend there excluding flights and accomodation. Do u think thats enough for 2 pax? for the first 3 days, most of the activities already expenses paid except meals.

Hi guys!

Im little bit confuse, just pay a visit to KL TW Association, they claim the TW Tour buddy can be use for iPhone 4. But when I check their NYC/TW Net website, they claimed cannot b use for iPhone.

Juz applied via the portal. And also give NYC a call, find out they dont do on-the-spot registration anymore for Tour Buddy and 3G Sim Card. Have to apply 7days before the departure and forget to ask bout iPhone 3G sim card can use or not?! Anyone can clarify this?

And few more gifts from TW gov.
Go to Taiwan Association Kuala Lumpur and redeem your following gifts:
- Night Market Voucher
- National Museum (故宫) entrance ticket
- Free Round Trip Railway Ticket (Taipei - Fu Long) - Jiu Fen Trip!
Do bring a copy of your printed air flight ticket's receipt/letter to claim these voucher before your departure to Taiwan!
