I'm going to Taiwan in September and planned to travel around West and Southern Taiwan.

I planned to drive through the journey as it is not as convenient as Taipei. Any advice on driving in Taiwan?

This is my draft itineary:
Taichung --> Sun Moon Lake --> Cingjing --> Nantou --> Chiayi --> Alishan --> Tainan --> Kaohsiung

It will be a 9 days trip and of cos for some of the places...it will only be day trip or half a day trip.

Please advice on the driving portion!

Hi there,

Any recommendations on Alishan accomodation? Can't find much info in English....Alishan House is too expensive...

Any other more budget and near to the Alishan National REcreational Forest?

I plan to stay overnight there....
