going taiwan very soon. read that taking cash from ATM there with PLUS or Cirrus network gives lower exchange rate compare to changing money at local money exchanger.

so i was thinking, is it feasible to maybe bring over NT for a day or 2 expenses, and look for ATM once i reach there? tongue.gif

Should be OK. but pls activate your atm for oversea withdrawal 1st. Otherwise you will be crying. Also bring xtra US$ incase of emmergency
yalo how to activate? call up bank and ask?

and why US$$ instead of NT$? wouldn't we save on exchange rate if we change directly to NT$ instead of changing to US$ and then go NT$.

Unless you really heavy user on voice services, I think it will be a waste. Instead of buying those card, easier to use Skype to call back. Much cheaper and I still having more than US$6 credit even after 3 yrs. haha..You can use the credit everywhere in the world rather than buying diff card in diff countries

the problem is i don't have access to computers (especially one with mic) or a phone with skype capability when i'm there hmm.gif

please take note that each time you withdraw money from ATM, you'll incur a RM10 charges. So, please withdraw the right amount and don't withdraw too many times.

noted, thanks bro! laugh.gif

you can apply for Digital Tour Buddy for free if you are below 30 years old. call charges to malaysia for standard hours (Mon-Fri 08:00~23:00; Saturday 08:00~12:00) is NTD1.80/6secs.

how to set via cimbclicks?

once you login CIMB clicks, there's a 'Overseas Activation' there on the list of links, under 'ATM Services'
