hi GUys,

Anyone of u made the trip to Taroko Gorge?
I need some advise.

Would it be possilbe to make a day trip to Taroko Gorge from Taipei?
If not, should i stay at night at Hua Lien?

Im not keen with tour group or tour buses. What is the best way to cover the Taroko Gorge? Some say that the best way is to ride the scooter up the gorge. But hmm i never rode a scooter before. Would it be too dangerous?

PLz advise

How about Jiu Fen? Is that a 1 day whole trip too from Taipei?

Hi, anyone stayed at the taipei backpackers before?

Taipei Backpackers Hostel (TBP Hostel)
2F, 113, Kunming Street Taipei, Taiwan

I was thinking on staying at their deluxe room with ensuite.
Anyone stayed b4 can comment if its an OK place? Building wise? cleanliness

Btw: for my post earlier about TAROKO. Im going mid of September hope no more landslides and close road. I finally decided that i will hire a cab driver for the day and do a 1 day trip.

The guide quoted me NT2200 for 2 pax for the day trip. Around 10am to 4-5pm.

hi guys,

Planning a day trip to both JiuFen and ShiFen, anyone did both in a day?
I am debating whether to head to ShiFen first or to JiuFen first.?

If i head out early, what time does most shops open in Shifen & JiuFen?

Hi all,

GoSh...the online tickets to HUALIEN is so hard to get!!? Anyone experience this too?
I have planned my trip to Taroko Hualien next Saturday 12 days from now.
using the online booking http://twtraffic.tra.gov.tw/twrail/English/#

NO MORE TICKETS AVAILABLE?

My question is; is there a difference buying online and getting someone to buy over there? It says sold out online; but will i be able to buy them personally there a day before arrival? it is known that the tze chiang limited express is very popular.

Plz advise

Kaohsuing: MUST EAT!
Best TARO/YAM CAKE ever tasted in my LIFE! No kidding!; Its good as if im confused to whether im eating YAM or actually a YAM CAKE! But the 1st thing when we bought it; we have to bring it back to our hotel to keep it in the fridge. If not it'll become a pile of MUSH!
