this V2 thread seems much more lively and up to date than V1, good to see evo running the show now. haha
i can't rmb the last time my marvel book was $2.99, but looking at the Oct solicits i think i will finish thor 1-6 despite the $3.99 price tag since Coipel is not doing thor (for good?) issue 7.
can't say no to bachalo on wolvie/x-men though, Marvel is really sucking their readers dry.

was a marvel fan when i started then image came about and ultimately drove me away.
now as an adult, my choice is still marvel despite the pricing issues but i usually follow the creator/artist rather than the publisher (like what happened when Image first started).

Mine just came in today I believe, can't wait to look at the contents as it's my first order with Mile High. Then tomorrow I'm off to SGTGCC11 despite its lacklustre lineup, hoping to find some good bargains there to make up for it.

I have one in august yet to arrive and one yet to be ship out by mile high despite close to a week since place order.
Really have to think twice about ordering anymore from them especially since they keep raising their minimum amount for free shipping. First time i ordered was minimum $10, then second time it was $20 and now it's 50?!
Keep in mind this was all in the span of one month or so.

I'm not so impressed with spider-island.
as far as recent spidey events goes, last year's Grim Hunt is still better in my book so far.
as for Slott and Ramos, their recent Big Time arc is also marginally better than spider-island so far.

^ Agreed with u, i only enjoyed Fraction on his Invincible Iron Man, more specifically the Worlds Most Wanted arc.... after that was like six issue devoted to Stark making a car?! Zzzz.....
His handling of the Thor characters' speeches are absolutely terrible, Thor does not speak regal like a God anymore, he sounds more like an average thug under Fraction. Only Coipel art is worth getting the Thor book for but i think even Coipel is at loss drawing Thor in a space suit, underwater suit etc.
As for Fear Itself, i only commited to the series because i wanted to check out Immonen art, lets just say his work is far stellar than what Fraction is bringing to the table.

my last shipment came in after two weeks from being shipped, three weeks if you include the one week they took to process the order during the peak period of 65% off. well at least i managed to snag a free cowboys & aliens graphic novel that time, it evens out the $5 shipping cost.
