Hello everyone! I've been a comic addict since the early 80s, and I think it's about time for me to let my collection go (7000+ issues)! I am delighted to have found this thread on LYN, as I believe it is far better passing on my comics to fellow collectors as well! I'm in the midst of setting up an FB page to make browsing and selling all my issues easier, but here's a small teaser of what's on sale:
- Crisis on Infinite Earths #1-12 - Days of Future Past (Uncanny X-Men #141-142) - Kraven's Last Hunt (all 6 issues) - Batman Hush storyline (all 12 issues) - All-star Superman #1-12 - Wolverine: The Origin #1-6 - Civil War #1-7 - Spider-Man: Blue #1-6 - Final Crisis #1-7 - Infinity Gauntlet #1-6 - Kick-Ass #1-8
There are plenty more of where that came from. Individual issues of all your favorite comics (Spidey, Batman, X-Men, Spawn etc) will also be on sale! I will be setting up a separate thread on the forums once the page is done, so this is just a little heads up to all users on this thread. =)

QUOTE(munchoong @ Oct 11 2012, 03:36 PM) Mostly local (from Comics Corner), with some bought online from Lone Star Comics Actually Direct and Newsstand Editions have been using the same paper stock since the early 2000s, and Newsstand Editions are now worth a lot more than Direct Editions (especially for VF and NM condition copies) simply because not many Mint condition copies are available, and the print runs are very very low compared to the Direct Editions. munchoong is correct. For example, a near mint ASM #300 newsstand edition is far more valuable than a direct edition copy, simply because its harder to find old newsstand issues which are in pristine condition. Of course, this only applies to golden and silver age comics.

QUOTE(cjlio1 @ Oct 11 2012, 04:38 PM) well golden and silver age stuff i don't think have any direct ed that i know off. yeah i believe ur right about golden age comics, they were all newsstand editions. However I believe direct editions started during the silver age, or rather towards the end of it. It's funny to know that newsstand issue owners are having the last laugh now.
