Hello everyone! I've been a comic addict since the early 80s, and I think it's about time for me to let my collection go (7000+ issues)! I am delighted to have found this thread on LYN, as I believe it is far better passing on my comics to fellow collectors as well! I'm in the midst of setting up an FB page to make browsing and selling all my issues easier, but here's a small teaser of what's on sale:

munchoong is correct. For example, a near mint ASM #300 newsstand edition is far more valuable than a direct edition copy, simply because its harder to find old newsstand issues which are in pristine condition. Of course, this only applies to golden and silver age comics.

yeah i believe ur right about golden age comics, they were all newsstand editions. However I believe direct editions started during the silver age, or rather towards the end of it. It's funny to know that newsstand issue owners are having the last laugh now.
