Yeah i think i jumped the gun a bit my boxes came in from MileHigh. Good stuff nicely packed so much better then Amazon.
I think the Amazon needs to learn from these small timers how to pack books properly

Hi, i'm looking to start buying comics, and am keen on getting amazing spider man #1 when it comes out. May I know who are the retailers around klang valley (subang/1utama area if possible) that regularly stocks comics and how long after they come out in US would they be available in Malaysia?

Also, what titles are usually stocked at the comic shops in Malaysia? Or do they all operate on a pre-order basis?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Subang try
Comics Corner Subang Jaya
36 Jalan SS 15/4, 47500 Subang Jaya

1Utama Area
Try the Mind Shop in Centre Point.

Most titles are available. Would recommend that you pre order from them. Certain titles do sell out.
Comics come out around the same time as the US. Depending on our customs.

Wow that’s kinda sad that there ain’t any more brick and mortar comic shops in Malaysia selling current stuff.

I remember the days when The Mind Shop use to send me the old Previews in the mail. And me waiting not so patiently every month for my pull list lol

Question for those of you who buys comics from US, how much is the shipping fee?
*
US postal default for 20 pounds worth of comics is around 70 usd plus. You need to add taxes, etc. which takes 10 to 40 days to get to you.

I get most of my back issues from Instagram. Some will push you to their eBay page So it will be mailed to you through eBays posting programs. Some seller will charge you 16 usd for the 1st book and then 1 usd for additional comic books.

Yeah I use to order my ultra pro bags and comic care boards from Comics Corner. Kinda sad they couldn’t capitalize on being the only brick and mortar shop after Final Frontier and the Mind Shop closed.

And yeah Backing boards ain’t cheap. The postage overseas usually kill it.

Hey guys, curious question.

Recently started to develop love for Scarlet Witch and looking to get into her backstory, noticed she's got a comic series in 2015 by Robinson dedicated to her.

My question, where can I possibly find her comics in Klang Valley, if possible? Checked out Kinokuniya and realize they were fetching a price of RM70 each, which is stupid, what more the entire collection is incomplete. Noticed a few people selling her comics, but in loose issues for a cheaper price, like 80% cheaper. Checked on Ebay too, some people are selling the whole series for RM190++ which is still cheap when you consider there's 15 series, but shopping is incurring an extra 200-300+.

So where can I find any shops within Klang Valley who might be carrying the entire series for the comic? Or perhaps is someone looking to sell the series in full set maybe?

Have you tried the local community on FB?

Malaysian Comic Community and Comics and Hobby Island?

I have my own little page selling stuff also

Comic Book Junkie Malaysia.

I am getting the Deluxe Edition hardcovers for Wonder Woman 750 and Flash 750... skipping the anniversary issues for Robin, Catwoman, and Joker
*
Catwoman 80th anniversary would be the issue Selina informs Bats she preggers.

Joker 80th also an important issue. Cause it will have the Punchline’s back story.

Punchline is like the hot potatoes now.

Can't be bothered by what's hot and what's not... only ordering whatever piques my interest.

Already annoyed enough as it is that I can no longer buy Marvel titles because their characters are almost unrecognizable these days... and I can't fathom why characters like Harley Quinn and Deadpool are so popular.

Or maybe I'm getting too old for this shit. tongue.gif

Thank god for Valiant Comics.

Lol too many reboots. Hopefully DC will not be doing their planned reboot. Generation 5 sounds bad.

It REALLY does sound bad... and I do not see them maintaining it for more than two years anyway.

However, I am interested to see how they can tie Doomsday Clock, Flash Forward, Justice/Doom War, Year of the Villains, and Dark Nights: Death Metal together.

Bad enough the Marvel Universe has become unrecognizable, I don't want DC to do the same. sad.gif

Since At&t and WB fired Dan Didio from DC. I’m really hoping G5 doesn’t happen. Well there were pages in Doomsday clock and Thor #2 that teased a Marvel and DC crossover event. I’m hoping that will happen.

Yeah hopefully they can tie in all those into another massive event lol

Doomsday Clock is just Geoff Johns postulating his own personal future of the DCU. I wouldn't put too much weight on it.

Same applies to Donny Cates' Thor # 2 as well.

I would chalk it as just fan service.

I don't see Marvel and DC having any sort of collaboration ever again outside of charity projects like those after 9/11.

Ah well who know. Took doomsday o’clock 2 years to complete its run. So timing and speculation was ripe with the release of Thor #2. Good service though smile.gif

Take care all. Time to stay indoors for a bit and catch up on some reading.
