There is too many Avengers storyline. But since Avengers movie is mostly based on their ultimate line, like I said earlier, get The Ultimates Vol 1 & 2.
 BTW, this is my recommended Avengers book or those involved Avengers (besides Ultimates) 1. Avengers Disassembled 2. New Avengers 3. House of M 4. Civil War 5. Mighty Avengers 6. Secret Invasion 7. Siege Avengers members book 1. Captain America (by Ed Brubaker) 2. Invincible Iron Man (Matt Fraction) 3. The Sentry (original series by Paul Jenkins) 4. Hulk (Planet/World War Hulk storyline) 5.
