It's a collector's edition of Robin II: The Joker's Wild, still sealed in its polybag. Includes 5 issues (if I remember correctly) and an exclusive hologram trading card.

Here's a picture of it:

Another gimmick to rejuvenate the brand.

More reason to get #544 then.

Schism #1 hits US stores on July 13 and the second issue is two weeks later.

Any idea when the first issue will reach KL?

Probably the day after? These days, new comics come every week.

yeah, but how much is for 1 book? i need to budget before i go find it huhu

Each single is 3.99 USD, so I assume a Fear Itself HC will cost slightly more than 28 USD.

Is it just me.. or does anyone feel that the prices of their stuff has inflated? Haha..

I looked up Walking Dead HCs and Ultimate Spiderman HCs. They suddenly seemed to be double cover price or something. LOL.

The new Venom title is pretty good. Remender and Moore are doing a fabulous job. Hope they keep it going strong!

I'm not a big DC reader and I only knew about Deadman when I read Brightest Day. Haha I don't think Deadman's gonna get a movie anytime soon.

On this note, I think X Men First Class was a risk, introducing numerous rather unknown characters to the layman. Even I, a pretty huge Marvel fan, didn't recognise some of the characters immediately or know them at all (Ok, I'm a bad fan hahaha) but it was a good risk. I enjoyed the movie!

Thor's pretty awesome too. Both are definitely worth watching! (:

If an Italian supernatural comic like Dylan Dog can get a movie i'm sure there's a chance that Deadman can get a movie although DC is not very prolific in its movie making ventures. I can't remember the last movie they made before GL was it The Losers or the second Batman movie.

Watched Thor but not going to watch First Class. I think Thor is a good movie and the Hawkeye cameo was a nice touch.
*
Hmm, maybe. However, I think Dylan Dog has a strong appeal to kids due to its comedy-natured/ light-hearted tone. I'm not sure, I haven't watched it. Haha

warghhhh i damn pissed, out of my rm700 pull from mind shop foudn out i got one of sneijder-jock detective comic issue missing!!!
gonna call them tmr!!!
they better have stock!!!
not some reorder 2nd printing variant crap!!!!!
OMGGG i HATE THE FEELING
*
Woah RM 700?! I think my heart will also get a severe attack. haha if only comics are like a dollar each or something. And yes, it does suck when your LCS forgets to reserve a title for you or smth. Esp when you're buying so many titles, you can't rmb what you're missing and when you go home and realise, it's too late.

Evo: I'm with you. Been thinking about going digital but I thought I read somewhere that digital comics cost the same, so not worth it. But man, if they're like way cheaper, I wouldn't mind man, especially since I'm planning to resell most of what I buy. Of course, I'll still feel inclined to buy singles of my favorite superhero, Spidey! Sadly, it's like a permanently 3.99 USD comic. cry.gif

I thought about that. But I'll be contended holding the actual comic and "smelling" the paper stock of my Amazing Spiderman biggrin.gif

As for the other titles, I'll have to get them at a cheaper source, considering that space is also an issue for me.

Haha like I said before, I used to buy only singles, but have been starting to get HCs. Still don't like TPBs (too soft and flimsy), but sometimes no choice, like Fables for instance.

Now now,

Added on July 28, 2011, 3:53 pmI started out as a Marvel fan (actually I'm a Spidey fan since young) but when I got serious into comics, I realised there were many good reads from other publishers out there, such as Fables (Vertigo), Chew (Image) etc..

Yeah the STGCC in Aug is the only one. Reeds Exhibition (the organisers for STGCC) pushed it earlier this year.

I still have not receive my orders from milehigh sad.gif
how long does it take for the package to arrive ?

i guess i was too greedy for the 60% sale, ordered heaps then they just scam your money ??????
*
Hmm Mile High Comics is a pretty large and reputable company in the US, so I don't think they'll just take your money and run. Don't worry.

On the other hand, they are notoriously known for charging crazy prices for CGC stuff and key issues. Eyy, I don't think they're running into financial difficulty. Like I mentioned before, it's all a marketing gimmick and many a times, they jack up the price before any discounted sale. I've monitored several issues I was interested in before and when the sale came, I went back to check on these issues and woah, I realised that the prices were higher than before. rclxub.gif
