Anyone collected Ultimate Comics X 5-issues series?  How is it?
*
I've read it and it's pretty good, the best thing from Loeb for a long time and Art Adams is always great.

It is short though and basically setup introducing new characters and forming a team and then the book finished with issue 5 so we don't get to see what happens after they get together. I guess it depends how much of it Nick Spencer is going to use in the new Ultimate X-Men comic. I'd give it a B+.

Wait..Snyder is ending his run of Detective Comics? Why? No!!!!! sad.gif

As Evo said they are restarting all the comics in September but Snyder has been given Batman to write so no real difference there and you can stil enjoy Snyder writing Batman.

You can see all the new titles here: http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/the-new-52/

I live in terengganu, they got any online shop?
*
I don't think so, somebody should though or at least offer mail order, as far as I can tell only KL has proper comic shops so the rest of Malaysia would be extra business for them.

If they do, I will be their first loyal customer smile.gif

It may not hurt to email them and ask if they will send to you, I'm sure they'd accept the business. So poor though that retailers here have no web presence, not even a page on blogger or anything. Comics Corner have a Facebook page is the best you can find with Google, enter the 21st century guys!

My orders from Mile High usually takes about 2 weeks to arrive. My latest shipment which arrived today was released by Customs on the 17th, I ordered on the 5th of Aug. The delay could be due to Customs or KDN being slow in releasing the shipment.

Yeah customs are the wild card, I've had one book confiscated by them and two blacked out with the magic marker.

I'm 38 with two kids, they aren't really protecting my innocence by crossing out a drawing of a nipple in a comic. laugh.gif

They are being moral police of what's you should be seeing or reading.  What to do.

There's nothing you can do. I just try and make sure I get mature readers books like Vertigo from the shop now as mail order is risky.

For some titles that don't sell quite so well DC so go straight to TPB. If there's a trade out and no hardcover then it's unlikely they'll collect it in HC at all.

Anyone knows where the hell i could get Wanted? Been looking at Borders and MPH and still no avail. Sheesh.

You can ask them order it for you. Tell them it's ISBN: 9781582404974.

Otherwise you can order from The Book Depository: http://www.bookdepository.com/Wanted-Mark-...r/9781582404974 it's at 32% off.

They send postage free so should be cheaper than using Mile High.

Which Forbidden Planet? There are actually two companies trading with the name. Was it a .co.uk or .com address?

Forbidden Planet International is the one at .co.uk and has a good reputation compared to the other.

(The reason there are two is the original partners set up a shop in London, the partnership ended and one went to set one up in Scotland and they agreed both could use the name so it's a bit confusing).

Justice League has grown on me on second reading. I like the fact that the leads have more distinct personalities.

I don't usually like Geoff Johns as I feel his comics are like someone playing with their action figures, the plots can be fun but Hal Jordan is as interesting as dishwater. I liked here that Batman and GL do the same job but do it in such different ways.

Animal Man and Swamp Thing are great titles too but aii money constraints can only let me pick up so much.
I'm planning to follow more books using Comixology. I know some like to collect the comics but I'm really more interested in reading the stories. At $1.99 after 4 weeks they are less than half the price of buying in a comics shop (if there even was a comics shop in Penang).

I am also really liking the new Ultimate Spider-Man, Pichelli's artwork is fantastic.

There was but now it is only 1 left which served as a club-like located @ Island Glades.  PM me if you want the details.
It's okay, I've been reading comics for 25 years and my lifestyle means I have moved a lot so most are in storage and unavailable for me to read. Books and comics weigh a LOT.

Digital is a godsend to be honest, not only is it drastically cheaper than print in this part of the world, which means I can buy more, but it is ultra portable too. Now I have my tablet I won't be going back. If the club in Penang ever wants a meet up though I'll be in.
