Do you have ipod/iphone/ipad or android devices? If you do, then download the comixology app. The blackest nite issue there is between usd 1.99~3.99.

I have the apps for my iphone n tab. What i did is create a us itunes account, buy the prepaid itunes card on ebay, then buy the comic thru the app.

I'm thinking of going digital when dc relaunch in sept, because they release on the same date as the physical copies and priced at usd 1.99 iinm

Yeah dwindling readership. Dc and marvel are fighting for the same pool of reader. The May sale data from diamond didnt look good either. Nowadays you cant follow all title, but to buy selectively

Woah RM 700?! I think my heart will also get a severe attack. haha if only comics are like a dollar each or something. And yes, it does suck when your LCS forgets to reserve a title for you or smth. Esp when you're buying so many titles, you can't rmb what you're missing and when you go home and realise, it's too late.

Evo: I'm with you. Been thinking about going digital but I thought I read somewhere that digital comics cost the same, so not worth it. But man, if they're like way cheaper, I wouldn't mind man, especially since I'm planning to resell most of what I buy. Of course, I'll still feel inclined to buy singles of my favorite superhero, Spidey! Sadly, it's like a permanently 3.99 USD comic.

With digital subscription, do you actually get the comic as a file with DRM that you can read anytime or you just get the ability to read the comic that you bought online only which would suck?

IMO, reading comics online a bit 'empty' compare read normally.

I've read comics online every week ( ) but still buy the TPB/HC if the story/art good.

I do not have statues, but this is my small dvd/bluray comics related collection. missing a few because friends and relatives borrow some



I almost have all the DC universe animated film - just missing wonder woman, superman/shazam and doomsday. Cant wait for the next film - Batman Year One!

@toysmania : IINM, when DC relaunch in Sept, the Digital comics will be offered in two price scheme - USD1.99 and USD2.99 (where you can print the digital copy that you own.)

@sheva78 : i'm using comixology. I dont need to be connected to the web to read the comics that i bought. The beauty of comixology is that once i bought a comic (with the same account) i can read em on the browser, on my PSP/ipod/iphone/tab

Marvel also provides subs, where you can read the entire Marvel catalog.

What I read was:

Day and date: $2.99 from Comixology
4 weeks after release: Price drops to $1.99 on Comixology

For JLA it is a $3.99 first issue as it is 40 pages. They will also be selling a physical copy for $4.99 that has a card in it that allows you to access the digital version as well.

I thought about that. But I'll be contended holding the actual comic and "smelling" the paper stock of my Amazing Spiderman

As for the other titles, I'll have to get them at a cheaper source, considering that space is also an issue for me.
