After finish taking pictures he took out the lens and tried to take pictures without it. He went on to rant 'why I buy this lousy camera' in public. I was sitting behind him and I almost LMAO'ed till I fell off the chair. Edited for easier understanding. Very simple already how to take picture with DSLR without lens? QUOTE(gnome @ Jun 15 2011, 10:15 AM) Bought yesterday afternoon, they accept both cash and cc but sometimes buying stuff cash can get you better price I went to Foto Selangor at Pertama Compleks just now, served by a graceful Chinese lady, bought 50mm 1.8g for Rm650 and extra batt for RM190, Memory card for RM100.EDIT: oh if can you try to deal with one of the uncle (got 2 there iirc). They're the one who usually can nego kaw2 Paid by card band no additional charges. Im not sure cheap or exp the extra batt or memory card, but I believe 50mm 1.8g for Rm650 is the lowest I see so far. Thanks gnome for the info. |

Dear all sifus,
So, I bought the 50mm 1.8g and try to shoot with it. 1) I’m sure my subject was in focus, why some pic being sharp and some being blur? Is it because I shake and cost blur? It seems no such blur when I use the kitlens, is it because the way I hold the camera? The new lens no VR? 2) What is the dial in the middle of the lens, that’s an infinity sign, then some numbers, and when I focus, the numbers will move, what is it? Appreciate your input. |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Jun 18 2011, 07:49 PM) The top most photo OOF or the kid moved? 1) The kid moves. She found me taking picture and stare at me, and when she's at between the flowers, i snapped right way.The 2nd image isn't that sharp as well except the 3rd one. How do you find the lens in term of sharpness? 2) 2nd image, the mother is moving away from me, maybe its my technique not so accomplish yet. I'm pretty new to photography, i believe my hand kind of move, or maybe my technique not so accomplish, i find it hard sometimes to get sharp picture on the move, maybe because im used to the kit lens VR and now without VR its kind of hard to get crystal sharp image in those uncontrol environment. Or maybe because 1st time going street to take picture, it could be either: 1) i focus in haste and hence i point at the wrong place. 2) im in Aperture mode, and put it f/1.8 the whole session. Then only i learned, in street, to tell the story, i cant always blur. In a control environment, crystal clear, nothing to complaint. I actually enjoy this lens better than the kit lens. hehe Sifu please correct me and teach me. This post has been edited by hidden830726: Jun 18 2011, 08:03 PM |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Jun 18 2011, 09:17 PM) How sharp? According to many user feedback, its very sharp. Wah, sharp,See these sample shots wide open here, especially from NixxerJixxerWixxer... http://www.photomalaysia.com/forums/showth...t=159958&page=8 but then, is it because its non moving object, models, flowers etc, hence easier to shoot it sharp? How about those moving subject, and under low light? |
