85mm sleeping in my dry box tongue.gif

70200 all the way for this event biggrin.gif This kinda event can't use 85mm :S, not flexible enough. I can't move much, so the lens has to do the work for me to cover the distance haha!

No new addition, still with my current line up. Basically awaiting for the rumored update to the 50mm f/1.2 AiS biggrin.gif.

I know a person who owns one and rarely uses it. Actually, there is nothing wrong lah about collecting and appreciating exotic glass. It's like owning a Lambo but don't drive it fast on a circuit.
Nice. Before this, I also don't know who this Amy is.  blush.gif She's not drop dead gorgeous but very sexy.  wub.gif
*
That is why the Porsche crashed into the Ferrari the other day tongue.gif. Just kidding haha!

Oh well, I don't know who is Amy Fay too... until my friend started telling me then I went to take a look.. she looks different from the other girls of course tongue.gif But this booth always freaking packed zzz.

Hey guys I'm just wondering why a d300s is still so expensive compared a .. Let's say D5100 although it loses in every expect? Sorry for the noob question :/
*
Its like asking why new Civic 1.8 is cheaper than a old 1 generation ago Accord 2.4 tongue.gif. They are both different range.

QUOTE(termignoni @ Jun 25 2011, 05:38 PM)
D7000 is the replacement for the D90.. so u could get better prices with the D90.. but, if u are a beginner who just wants to get a DSLR and shoot good pictures, the D5100 is the way to go..
*
D7000 and D5100 would give more or less same image quality due to same (or is it similar sensor?). But in terms of usability, the D7000 wins head on, due to more hardware buttons for control.

just bought the new 50mm f/1.8G from Foto Selangor today.. restock at noon with only 5 on the shelf. When I bought it at 4.00 pm, only got 2 left. price is at RM650. sells  like 'goreng pisang' laugh.gif

the towkey called me at 3.00pm and kindly reserved one for me. previous bad experience was prolly 'miscommunication'.
*
All ends well smile.gif. The 50mm f/1.8G is sharp, better than the old 1.8D. Now this is getting me excited for any upcoming 50mm nanocoat version xD

IIRC a new unit will ask to set time and date once powered up right? maybe that's a good indication if the unit is really new out of the box or not unsure.gif
*
Correct, a totally new unit which has not powered up before will prompt for date and time. That is a good judgement if the unit has been powered up before or not. If it doesn't have, then it is most likely turned on before. But fret not, if you still want that unit you can opt to check for the shutter count. Take 1 JPEG only, then check the shutter using software such as opanda, do this in front of the owner. If shutter count more than 1, ho ho the unit has been used before, maybe can haggle the boss for discount tongue.gif

I believe that was modified on purpose so that it does not cover the LCD screen.

Actually never knew the rubber cup was very low.
*
Hmm, oh yes you're right. If the rotation is right, it won't cover the LCD. Actually the rubber on the D3 body won't cover as much as on the D700.

Do you use the lens hood when shooting with the 80-200mm f/2.8?
Are you willing to pay RM 8k thereabouts? That's what will be the price when these new models come out.

That said, nobody knows for certain when they are going to come. Either continue to enjoy your D200 or upgrade to D700 which you know you can use TODAY.
Buy the VR2 lor...

Believe it or not, people with 400mm, 500mm and 600mm lenses switch off the VR on their lenses when they shoot.
*
Cause most of the time they are motorsport shooters which pans tongue.gif. I turn off my VR for panning too the other day during Super GT.
