first, if you want to send you child to kindergarden, they must be potty trained. Some will not accept if a child is not potty trained.

Also, if you must send your child to kindergarden at age of 3, find them one that is not emphasizing on academic teachings. Cause they are only 3 years old, they should be learning about physical activity, interaction and so on in a fun manner.

I send my kids to real kindergardens at age of 5. At 4, they go to dancing classes and other fun activity classes. This will gradually introduce them to real school. I try not to emphasize too much on academic. I don't mind if my kid grew up and become a hair stylist. As long as they are good human being who contribute to society.

actually my nephew started going to kindergarden at the age of 3 and i think it is ok, cos eventhough it's called "kindergarden", but they separate the kids by age, for young age, the teacher is mainly teaching them how to take care of themselves, like how to go to toilet, how to eat properly, how to play with other kids, how to use pencil and something like that, not much on studying. So my nephew actually learn lots of thing at kindergarden and be more dicipline, and easier to mix around with stranger. So don't worry about letting your kids go to kindergarden at young age might cause them to feel bored about schooling.

yup...that is the kind of kindergarden you should send you child to. That is if you are unable or no time to teach your child those things. I understand some parents are very busy. I remember when kindergarden only starts at age 6. That is why they called it pre-school. Then as parents get more and more kiasu, it became 5 and then 4. Now it seems like going to 3. Soon we will have schools to pre-birth babies. "Teach them math while they still in your stomach..." LOL....
