i tried widgetlocker but it have its own lock screen... which i hate that...  sweat.gif
as for the no-lock, it has its own lock screen also rite ?  hmm.gif

I asked the same question when I first got my DHD half a year ago, the answer is NON OF IT WILL WORK after the phone go into total sleep mode (after around 1 or 2 minutes u lock it). all of the apps that has "any button wake phone or screen on" only functions within a short period of time after you lock phone / off screen. I even tried to modify the system file for button functions, still can't get it to work. u can try tap tap app but it's just not responsive enough

I'm currently using my power button to on the screen and a widget to lock the phone.

think it depends on ur ROM / kernel. Correct me if i'm wrong, but some of the UV kernels puts the phone in a 'deeper' sleep, resulting in apps like WL unable to use the easy wake function (unlock with volume btn). I kena once b4. think was in LeeDroid Froyo ROM with lee's kernel. But so far for all the other ROM / kernel i've flashed (now in LeeDroid GB 3.0.3 v kernel 3.1.2), WL is working perfectly. Can use volume btn to wake up phone even after phone sleep for 5-6 hours.  biggrin.gif

wow, nice, i'm using buzz kernel oc/uv, so it's most likely this is why my phone can't use the any key wake up in any of the apps or even modified button functions in system file

It is only happening yesterday night... Because I am very sure i already off the wireless and skype app before i went to sleep, but even though if i din do so, not possible possible the battery drain off so fast right? from Full to Zero in 7 hours without using it.

Added on June 13, 2011, 10:30 amInitially i tot something went wrong with the phone... not able to on.. but then I am able to on it back after charging for 30 mins, now it is 70% after 2 and a half hour charging using USB cable. I have checked the battery usage, cell standby 23%, phone idle 21%, Dialer 18%, Android system 18%, Skype 18% and Display 4%(i have set the brightness to less than30%), is that normal? Btw, where should i bring my phone for service? after 10 days usage, do you think they are willing to replace a new phone for me? Actually, yesterday was the first day I am really using this phone for more than 3 hours (intensive usage). Very disappointed with HTC phone now...

Added on June 13, 2011, 10:36 amTo add on, usually when i charged it to 100% before i slept, even with mobile network connected, the next day morning it will still have full bar..
The only difference for yesterday is i'd installed 2 new applications, Skype and ES File Explorer. But I am very very sure i signoff the application before i went to sleep...
:.(

u signed off skype, but did u close it? it seems skype is using a lot of your battery. and u should restart your phone and see how the battery is used with a clean start

Btw, i signoff then press on the back button to go into main menu = close right? else how to close it? i did so for all the application, and hate most on gmail because there is no way to close it..
*
pressing back button doesn't close it unless it ask u whether you want to close the app, some apps have this option, some doesn't. those that doesn't u need to manually close it (force close) in Manage Applications settings in android menu. Because skype needs to run in the background (for ppl to receive calls or messages etc) it doesn't have the option to close it. usually if u didn't close an app, it doesn't have any effect on the battery because android froyo and above manages these apps quite good. but in some cases, the app itself needs to constantly search and run stuff in the background, like skype, it will search wifi or data connection because it needs these to function, if u don't have internet, it will keep searching. This is just an example, i'm not suggesting this is what happened to your phone. BTW i'm using skype also, and when i don't have internet it won't drain the battery so much also. try restarting the phone and monitor the battery.

and FYI, FRING IS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN SKYPE..........it has video call, i tried and tested it, and it WORKS!

hi guys, long time didn't post anything here, i might be outdated a bit but lately there's lot of updates (OTA) notifications on my phone and I disregarded all of them. Are they updates to gingerbread?

I have ENG s-off (but don't have radio s-off) on my phone, if i were to update OTA can I still get root (via gingerbreak or any other methods if the updates are really for 2.3)??? thanks

since official FOTA updates can't be rooted at the moment, i've been thinking of flashing to LEEDROID HD V3.1.4 GB [KERNEL] V3.1.5, anyone using this? I'm just curious, how's the overclocking? and how high can go? I saw in XDA : Max O/C 1.8GHz ("Nutter mode"), is this included or do I have to flash another kernel for it?

my DHD is sooooo oudated, haven't update it even once when I bought it half a year ago.........now always playing with LG Optimus 2x only, haha doh.gif

LeeDroid gooding yo.  thumbup.gif With LD kernel, you can OC max to 1.8GHz. Normally we only OC max to 1.3GHz, enough also. No need to flash other kernel, because for me LeeDroid already the best kernel we had.  nod.gif

thanks syuki, another thing is the MD5 checksum file, how to use it? because xda there only says: Check the MD5# matches the one in post 1#, and so far i've never checked MD5 before when flashing roms on any other devices, except when doing s-off on my DHD more than half a year ago......

battery drainage on LEEDROID HD GB 3.1.4 is pretty high, it literally sucks my battery to hell. And i'm not even OC yet. Just did battery calibration, just now at 10am charged till 100%, now (11.23am) already dropped to 90%...........!!! I'll monitor what has been using all those juices

Lee claimed it should solve high drain problem.....

But i use 3.1.5 also no problem...@@

thanks, didn't notice the new kernel. do i need to use EXT4 Cache & Dalvik cache cleaner (how to use this)? or just flash it only?
