well im a newbie in overclocking hardware..
recently i'd oced my processor from 2.8Ghz to 3.4Ghz.. is it dangerous.. i had run prime95 for about 30 mins and i showed no prob for my cpu..and the max temp is about 65C.. is it too hot??
but i had downgrade it to 3.2Ghz yesterday since my friends said usually people oced a processor about 0.36Ghz..
he also said that i need to change my power supply and add cooling system..
my cpu doesnt have any cooling system except only a stock fan during i bought this cpu..
so i need some opinions from the experts.. should i add cooling system and change the power supply for this??
i know nothing about overclocking.. is it safe at 3.2Ghz???
anyone can give me some advice?? thanks in advance biggrin.gif really appreciate it smile.gif

1. OC is not dangerous as long as enuf juice, and has proper cooling.
2. prime95 for about 30mins is not sufficient. let it run 24hours.
3. 65c max temp is consider good. altho i dun like to see the number. my E5400 running @ 3.6GHz, max 56c.
4. and I don't see why is it not safe at 3.2GHz

Indeed nice thread there, and that should be the thread where you should have posted your question instead of opening an unnecessary thread like this. Thread closed
