I now pregnant for 5 mths, and do my checking at HUKM Specialist.
However, I found out the changers on the consultancy is quite expensive.
my checking fee as follows (all is normal checking which include the ultrasound u.o.s) :
1st checking = RM230+ (normal checking)
2nd checking (+2 weeks later) = RM150+ (normal checking)
3rd checking (+1mth) = RM230+ (add blood test)
4th checking (+1mth) = RM215 (normal checking)
I have check with my sister and frens, event they go to private hospital such as SJMC, Pantai or Grand Eagles, the charges normally is average RM120.

Need your all advise and share experience. Now doc ask me to do 3D scanning (RM300) which all my fren told me that this is NOT a necessary…..

We went for Pantai Ampang. Consulation is roughly 60 only. Pharmacy only 50.

But our friend recommends UKMSC for delivery. i want her first time to be comfort but afraid of the cost of Pantai Hospital charges.

oh thats really expensive! HUKM is now fully privatised or half only ah? i think its ridiculous unless you have problematic pregnancy i guess

im pregnant with my 2nd child, do checkup/delivery at pusat bersalin naluri wangsa maju [private] - i usually get charged rm90 to rm120

consultation is rm30, scan rm25 -- this is fixed every time
others charges based on supplements/extra treatment or test

I asked TS about the doctor and I think I know why the charges are expensive.

Btw my UKMSC's consultation charge was RM50 per visit. This is excluding urine test, scan and medication. The charges were so mindboggling sometimes that they were on par with my initial visits to Prince Court (we wanted to deliver there initially but insurance didnt cover baby .. scared if anything wrong then kena exorbitant baby charges).

But we were happy with the delivery + rooming cost.

If I have the option, I'd go checkup elsewhere but deliver in UKMSC
