You are not alone. I remember losing RM13,000-00 just by making a phone call to my broker. I played Unisem when the price dropped during the Sept 11 attacks. I bought at RM6.30 and sold at RM9.30 BUT I bought it back at RM9.90. When it slided below RM9.00 I chopped. It was painful n the lesson I learned was that you are less risky if you buy BIG during a fire sale and not at other times.

Unfortunately, we have to face reality. But I have gained back what I lost 1 year later. There is always a temptation to try to gain back the loss immediately n you are likely to fail. It is like u lost money in casino and then pump more into the gambling hoping to make back the loss. Back in those days, I do not have the benefit of online charts n everything is by trail n error.
On the brighter side, I have sure u will emerge from the incident a more skillful player thereby paving the way to gain back what u lose.
