Hi sifus!

Wanna ask whoever had experienced or know the way to disable the car manually when car remote malfunctioned/not usable.

Situation: Car security alarm was activated and out of sudden, car remote failed/dead. So have to use the car key to manually open the doors. Alarm triggered and don't how or where to off it.

It a Hyundai Matrix CBU unit and factory alarm system.

Thanks all!

open door, find the alarm reset button.
put the key in the ignition, turn till on. not start.
press the reset button.
done.

now, drive to an accessory shop, either disable the alarm or replace it totally.

Did you even bother to read the manual? If it is a factory fitted alarm, it will be in the manual. If it was installed by local rep, then call local Hyundai for assistance. If the car is recon and the manual is missing, then pray that somebody in here can help you.

I wonder if anyone manage to locate the override button ? It's not stated in the manual. It's just the Turn ignition "ON" and press within 5 secs......damn , not a single clue where it's the button.

Is the button hidden ? or exposed ?

I had the same problem. how to reset the alarm? my unlock alarm key not working. last ride i can lock with alarm key. then, my brother open the door manually ( because long time didnt use alarm door due to lock not functioning automatically. have to lock manually each door 1 by 1 ) and the alarm sound. we cant disarm the alarm system using alarm key. and now the car still armed, cant start the engine. is there a way to reset it ? btw, we just change the battery of the key.
(sorry broken english).
