Hey guys I just bought over from a friend a Singapore set official unlocked iPhone 3GS 16GB...after upgrading to the new firmware 4.3.3 my iphone cant detect wifi, before updating to the new firmware can detect wifi...

the scenario is when I go into my settings, on the wifi section, it is locked and the color is dimmed.

Need Help badly sifu-sifu, buying this phone as a birthday present for a friend of mine....

settings>general>reset>reset network (reset carrier and wifi stuff)

plug-in phone to itunes to get new carrier settings (need internet)

1. Reset network settings. Touch Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.

2. Still having problems? Touch Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. Warning: You will loose all of your preferences.

Try 1, if still cannot go for 2

Last 2 Option ..
1)Do Hard Reset, Home and Sleep until Reset (Don't do Slide turn Off)
2)Restore you Phone (100% will solve the Problem Expect Hardware Issue)

I restored once just now bro...aiks now trying to do home reset

If after a clean restore, it's still having the wifi problem, then most likely it's a hardware issue.

but when I bought over the phone, the seller told me that before updating to 4.3.3 the iphone can detect wifi...only after updating to 4.3.3 then cannot detect wifi bro

Did you check yourself that it has wifi before buying it or you just trust the seller when he says that it has wifi?

when I check the phone already got no wifi....and he stated there very clearly....and I ask him why got no wifi then he tell me that before updating to 4.3.3 got wifi...only update to 4.3.3 then only got no wifi

u buy from that forumer sell RM850 that one....

u can to restore to downgrade to 4.3.... or lower
then JB again....see how

1st u reset erase all setting 1st . "all data will gone"

then download the ios 4.32....from

after finish download
plug in iphone to PC connect itune.
then click restore and shift together .
select the one u download . and restore it .
wait till finish see how work???


if still cannot work..... then may be hardware issue or u sell to me cheap cheap ... ha ha.solve your problem

Did you try dfu clean restore and setup as new phone?

Only wifi? How bout bluetooth and phone signal? If only wifi, i think its not hardware prob. As far as i know, the wifi is on the same chip with the bluetooth and radio. Just my 2sen

Details of the complaint : I’m not buying that ARC SABER 8DX RACKET, but he told me that he has ARC SABER Z SLASH TAUFIK HIDAYAT EDITION to let go

Confirm deal with seller Tuesday 31 May 2011 but ended deal with him Wednesday 1 June 2011 2.00pm near KL SENTRAL.

He claim that his friend racket that he help to sale..bla bla, bought it at AJ BADMINTON SHOP, PUCHONG
After I pay him RM400 for the racket and in the late evening when I want to try the racket..Its seems weird on the cone/shaft
Serial number, I’ll suspect it is imitation (FAKE) racket that he sold to me...

Wednesday 1 June 2011 10.30pm = Sms user to confirm whether the racket are original or fake? - NO ANSWER or NO REPLY

Thursday 2 June 2011 10.00am = Call him a few times but now the no automatic 'bz' all the time.

Thursday 2 June 2011 12.30pm = Call him with my other no, suddenly he pickup and tell me he want double check again with the shop..bla bla
and will call me back at 5pm on the same day.

Thursday 2 June 2011 5.00pm = No call I received from him, and I make a few call and against the no simce 'bz' when I dial with my no and the other no.

Conclusion = Dishonest forumer seller/Irresponsible, Senior Member some more...banned him!!
