awesome review.. now I'm in a dilemma, which i think many of us out there are..

i am one of the first 150 to pre-order the Transformer.. but was tempted with the Iconia's 32GB & standard usb support..
however, I'm still very doubtful over the quality of Acer..

so, now i am still comparing the pros & cons of Transformer vs Iconia. Paper comparison is just crap without first hand experience of the devices.. if u can get your hand on one Iconia, i believe u will be answering the questions for many ppl..

the reason why i am staying away from iPeed2, oops i mean iPad2, is due to lack of flash support, SD card support etc, and I find Iconia has an upper hand in the hardware department even against Transfomer (if we compare the tabs w/o docks).. what do u think?

PS: no i am not an Iconerd or Aceriast, I'm just another guy who wants to make his money worth..

Well if you are getting the Iconia Tab then sell the transformer to me yeah? wink.gif

the review is good, but the wait is too long.. galaxy tab 10.1 and 8.9 coming soon.

The Galaxy 10.1 and 8.9 are targeted towards consumers who want stylish devices, whereas the Transformer aims at users who want functionality (the dock). Both are different.

Mine has issues with the power button (pressing it sometimes doesn't turn on the screen) and now my touchscreen can't register presses...

Gonna fiddle with this a while more and see if I can fix it. Otherwise RMA

Can you download applications from the market by using wireless hotspot to a phone with Market Enabler?

I have gone to the shop and play with the demo unit. I have tried with the firefox, opera and the default browser, all reported themselves as a mobile browser and sites that I visit went into mobile version such as m.facebook.com (instead of the full site) and gmail mobile version. Is there a way to overcome this?

you can install yes life in your windows, use that number as your phone number to register in whatsapp, you can still receive sms via yes life. Yes said they are making an android version soon.

so far no such problem to me.

hm..... my unit go into standby mode for 1~2 hours tested ok.

My original unit's touchscreen died similarly I think, after a lengthy sleep time the touchscreen never could take inputs again. Luckily I could still do a 1 to 1 exchange at MV.

I tried fiddling around with the device and at one moment, I could appear to download programs via market.android.com from my desktop to the tablet. However on the tablet the Market was still inaccessible, and the download bar for the program is stuck.
