Anyway, can this be considered the official thread for Transformer? Newbie here and so many to ask. First Android though I do read and know some news, terminology, etc.

Hmmmm... the keyboard not that easy to use. Seems slow too. Maybe i just need to get used to it.

The error i seem to be getting is that i cannot 'purchase' because its not available for my country. Orr sth like that. Wonder other owners facing this. Annoying too coz it also prompts for Flash and when i try to d/load, i get the same error.

asus keyboardis something like swype, right? i can swipe around. but still not used to typing yet. anyway, this is to answer a Q by someone who asked earlier about swype.

is there a website for ppl to learn abt tricks in the os? like how to copy all, etc... i was tring to copy all the photos from one folder to another.

anyone noticed the cursor position is not accurate? it sometimes look like there is a space between words, so when i dun press space, i end up with joined words.

another Q. this is why i asked abt tips & tricks...

how to move cursor left or right or up or down? pointing on the word sometimes is not accurate enuff.

also, was playing a game on fb and clicking on links, but each time i click the link, keybora appears. how to disable it from popping up?

i m considering just posting on AsusMY FB wall and see what they say there... to me, an indicative date to this fix is more than good enough. else, get a tablet but cannot install anything without rooting it is ridiculous!

ya, but still nice to know when we can expect a 'fix'.

and in the meantime, this being my 1st android device, i'm happy i got time to explore more... still trying to get used to typing and figuring out the tips and tricks...

and just to share... after 8hrs+ charging... used it for 5-6hrs (not continuous but over the whole day)... wifi, angry bird rio, exploring... battery still got like 20%. i think its good!

ya, i will be claiming tax relief for my transfomer purchase. that's why i paid full for docking as well. just submit the whole dang receipt later on.

if break into two and pay docking later, i worry irb might ask lots of Qs...

if you plan to get this Sat... i think you might be disappointed. seems they will need to wait for new batch to arrive and from what i heard last sat, already a lot of ppl place order and is on waiting list.

as for disappointed abt the complains, i think the access to android market is a small issue that will be fixed soon. from what i can understand, basically the market is not able to detect Malaysia + Transformer combination yet. i would like to think this will be fixed in the next 2-3 weeks... which i think is the time when the next official batch arrives -- that's what i overheard them tell the waiting list ppl anyway.

but other things... so far, i think is great. Can browse the net, check emails, view photos. plus, not all apps are affected. i mentioned somewhere that i was able to download 4-5 flashcard apps for my son. no problem with those. in fact, mainly its the games that give me this error.

ya, but i guess ALL smartphones and tablet manufacturers should take note... make sure your original settings can download and play Angry Birds. LOL... Serious. if you check all the complains, its usually "I cannot download Angry Birds".

but ya, other apps seems fine. i reported earlier i could download flashcard apps for my son.

actually, i think this is a better implementation than Atrix.

but in terms of sales, it would probably reduce their own sales since with this, there's a possibility that people dun need to buy two device (two device means one phone and one tablet from acer)... note: i'm assuming the tablet dock will be a dumb dock and does not have a processor. processing will come from phone.

right now, ppl might have a smart phone and also own a tablet. you have data on two device. you buy two processors. with this padphone, everything is on phone (again, this is based on assumption of processor being only on the phone). when docked to tablet, you get a tablet instead. think of motorola atrix but instead of notebook, its tablet.

din try. but when i connected to power, it turned on by itself. so completed the initial setup and pressed the power button after that (put it to sleep). not an easy task coz the urge to play with the new toy is sooooOOoooo great. but told myself... charge first, charge first...

but i would think it should not really be a problem... anyway, got 1 yr for warranty, no?

right side flex means right side louder?

right side here means my right when holding the tablet towards me (normal use)?

how bad is the difference? i think mine also got... right side could be louder than left. but not very, very obvious. if you guys never mentioned, i won't have bothered to put my ear to the speaker and test.

last night, i had my first screen freeze. after bring up from standby, i unlock but somehow missed the unlocking and had to redo the unlock again. the screen froze when i try to unlock the second time. but i just press power button to put it to standby and then bring it back up. ok liao.

just wondering... is there a way to rename my device when viewed from a router that is showing dhcp device connected? i can change the name on BT settings but i believe device name on BT is different from the one on wifi coz when i went to settings to change the name on BT settings, the name that shows by default is different from the one i saw as device connected in my router dhcp list.
