PRICE : RM 1499 / WITHOUT KEYBOARD
PRICE : RM 1799 / WITH KEYBOARD

It is kind of cheap and worth for money, I will definitely go for it. smile.gif
I hope I can get the limited stock.

Added on May 25, 2011, 10:06 pmBy the way, do I need to do booking or just walk in?

I wonder if I go there tonight still got unit or even got the demo for me to play with or not.

Anyone, got the shop phone number? So that I can call to confirm it, I don't want to waste my time going there and back with nothing.

Thanks for the number. smile.gif

I am still considering in between iPad 2 32GB wifi only with Transformer. Still in dilemma, don't know which one to take.

The spec of transformer is attractive but not many apps is written for android tablet yet. As for iPad, I know what are the apps and usage since I am using iPhone already.

Mainly I want to use it for social network like msn chat, fb, twitter, youtube and copying photos only.

I have gone to the shop and play with the demo unit. I have tried with the firefox, opera and the default browser, all reported themselves as a mobile browser and sites that I visit went into mobile version such as m.facebook.com (instead of the full site) and gmail mobile version. Is there a way to overcome this?

How to verify whatsapp if there is no sim access for sms verify purpose..?
*
you can install yes life in your windows, use that number as your phone number to register in whatsapp, you can still receive sms via yes life. Yes said they are making an android version soon.

I want to go and buy this unit on Saturday but after going thru the threads, seems like it has a lot of problems such as accessing the android market, patching here and there to get things done. All these back me off. sad.gif

These market access issues will be fixed I believed in the new firmware. It is Honeycomb that is facing the most problems. Those who has another Android phone ( Froyo or Gingerbread )  can always just download your apps to the phone and just transfer the apk file over - a bit more troublesome but is still a good solution

I don't have an android phone, can I download via desktop and copy the apk to transformer?

if you plan to get this Sat... i think you might be disappointed. seems they will need to wait for new batch to arrive and from what i heard last sat, already a lot of ppl place order and is on waiting list.

as for disappointed abt the complains, i think the access to android market is a small issue that will be fixed soon. from what i can understand, basically the market is not able to detect Malaysia + Transformer combination yet. i would like to think this will be fixed in the next 2-3 weeks... which i think is the time when the next official batch arrives -- that's what i overheard them tell the waiting list ppl anyway.

but other things... so far, i think is great. Can browse the net, check emails, view photos. plus, not all apps are affected. i mentioned somewhere that i was able to download 4-5 flashcard apps for my son. no problem with those. in fact, mainly its the games that give me this error.

last saturday, they still have a few units left, i should then make my way there soonest possible before this weekend. sad.gif
