32GB version is still very vague at the moment. Honestly, I'm much keen in looking forward towards the 3G version than the 32GB one

Not saying that. RM300 would be for the dock if you purchase a combo product. Since the keyboard is not in and the combo can't be combined, they are willing to sell the keyboard for RM300. Otherwise, it would be more than RM400.

I agree with the McValue meal deal. If you dont buy the combo in the first place, then you should not get the same price later. Thats how "upselling" works.

As far as smoothness is concerned, I dont want to compare it to iPad. I don't want to hurt the iPad fans, but I don't consider iPad as a tablet. I call it a ripping machine. I dare to speak because this is the Android section and we have the "army" here..hahaha

irenic..yep, 3G version will be coming soon..Its not in the production yet though considering even the wifi is out of stock..lol

So you guys will be at MidValley this Saturday? I'm thinking of going there to support you guys too..

iPad is not only about Flash10. Its about disallowing freedom totally. Whatever goes in the iPad has to be purchased from Apple which to me is total nonsense. I have lots of stuff myself that I want to use with my device and I want to organize things the way I want on my device - not the way the device decides. Idk how Win7 can be the best tablet. Tell me one thing the Win7 tablet can do and the Android cant.

Then I guess Google needs to pay me some royalty for converting an ifan into a geek..hahaha..j/k

Note that I will be giving back this engineering unit tomorrow to ASUS. They need it for another press conference on wednesday. I will be getting my device on wednesday or thursday most probably. We can do further testing from that point onwards. This device will be with me till 4pm today.

Okay guys, I have tested the USB internet, it doesn't work. But I don't really care about that coz I have a MiFi which can be used as a wireless modem, is small and easy to carry around - and gets my job done

Nope..But I will be getting one soon too..

I think the moment we reach Mid Valley, we will be able to see where it is. ASUS does its event big time..

To me, its worth the money spent. It can easily last a few hours of heavy usage and when the battery is down, just plug the USB. Your transformer will have a KDS that has USB remember?

Which device are you referring to? Lightbleed on Transformer???

In a way, its kinda awesome to put things this way..You get to play with the tablet first, then you get the keyboard later on..That is when you can really identify the difference and advantages of having the keyboard..I swear you guys will appreciate it more Battery life + keyboard usage + everything in the middle..

Its preinstalled in the Transformer. Its called "PressReader" and it loads the newspaper into "MyLibrary". Both preinstalled.

They use a system called "credits". There were free 7 credits with the device so I used them up Not sure what happens once you wipe though. I dont mind buying the newspaper really. Its a lot better than buying the paper version anyway.

Tablet and phones are totally different worlds. You can't compare them directly. And remember, this Transformer is wifi only and has no 3G - which means you can't make calls with it. Unless you buy the 3G version which will be released somewhere in the future.

Note: I just gave my tablet back to ASUS already. Now we will have to wait till we get our own versions. I believe I'll get mine by Thursday, Friday or probably together with you guys

While it is possible, its going to be a tough call though. In order to use Backtrack, we will have to use a custom modified kernel first. The default kernel won't run it. Even that is doable. The real problem is that since Honeycomb is closed source, ASUS is not going to be dropping their source on the git and hence we will not have much to play with.

Of course I wish I could have Backtrack on it too..hehe..
