did u install all the other updates other than the sp1 n ie9? or did u hav some cleanup software than deleted some of ur registry?.. i made 3 difrent win7 64 bit on i7 i5(old) n i3(old) upgrade ardy.. no problem wor.. maybe try asking other i5 sandybridge user upgrade sp1 n ie9.. but cannot be the processor probs.

me too....i don't have major issue as well, performance improved after upgrade the RAM to 8GB....except the system hang after sleep mode.....in overall i think is a good buy

Your mouse got the ASUS logo in front? Is it silver colour? Mine at the back is written "ASUS" , no Logitech. Maybe different then.

There are no such thing as AP laptops, is just the free gifts differ from place to place.

All of them CAN be sent back to ASUS Service Centres.

Another difference is whether the shop gives you a "limited warranty, eg: Can 1-to-1 swap if problem within 1 week".

And judging by the specs, i think there should be USB3.0 ..since it's a norm already now. Seems like it has 4 memory bays too, since it comes with the default 2x2GB.

No such thing as Best Laptop..just buy according to your liking and budget..

Really really?!      I also wan to get le.. In fact,I am so in love with N53SN lol.. I asked about 1x shops at my place.. All i got is negative.. And suddnly i got a phone call this afternoon.. I stood rooted to the ground when I heard it..      REally? Should get it? Wont regret rite? I don't like to make decision...

My latest upgrade on N53SN: Dual Hardisk 

Total investment so far: N53SN (RM3.3K)+Extra 8GB ram (RM290) + 160GB SSD (RM950) + HDD Caddy (RM50) + DVD external case (RM25): RM4.6K++

Get one SSD (Intel 160GB).


Replace SSD with the stock 640GB HDD.



Do a fresh install using retail Win7 Home Premium (using Product key at bottom of the notebook to activate).  Asus AI Recovery disk will not work for SSD, as it was expecting a 640GB HDD, tried several time, end up getting a retail Win7 DVD to do fresh installation.

Remove keyboard by pressing the pin.


Remove screw that holds the optical drive.


Place the stock 640GB HDD into Optical drive HDD caddy & install into Optical bay.

What to do with the optical drive... get a external casing for it & now it become an external DVD drive 

  I got the hp no.. Mayb i sms him and ask first whr's the shop ...
