Yes cause currently ur laptop is using Intel GPU. Only for demanding games or program then only ur laptop will use the Nv Gt540M. This tech is called Nvidia Optimus. Google it to learn more.
Btw
Blue = Intel GPU
White = Nvidia GPU

is there a way i can configure it so that it will always used the nv gt540m?

GO to Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Global Settings > Preferred Graphics Processor > Nvidia

Be warn that using GT540M the whole time can lower battery time

Just beside your power button smile.gif There should be a blue light.

When you start your PC, if it's in Default mode - it should be in blue light.

When your GPU kicks in, White light will pop out biggrin.gif

u mean the one in between the caps lock and power? there is an indicator but it was never lit, whats wrong with it?
