I will buy today a N53SN but do you think is ok being on EOL?
Isn't wise to wait for the new revision?
*
It doesn't matter whereas its EOL-ed or not laugh.gif
As long as you can find it then you can buy~
The waiting game will go on and on if you have the mindset that better things will come, cause they definitely will laugh.gif
Alternative to the N53Sn would be the HP Dv6 nod.gif

found some detail specs of the N55SF

Proc : Sandy Bridge i3,i5,i7
Graphics : Nvidia GT555M  drool.gif  2GB DDR3  shakehead.gif
RAM: 8GB 1333mhz DDR3, should be able to upgrade to 16GB
Screen: 1980x1080 or 1366x768 (i think)
Features :.............................Bang & Olufsen Speakers...........WITH SUBWOOFER drool.gif  drool.gif

if im not wrong the HDD might be a hybrid  hmm.gif , anyway thats my guess since they claim "Instant ON. Resume in seconds and standby for up to half a month  drool.gif  drool.gif
Dam the battery life must be longer than the N53S then.......still the design sucks  laugh.gif
*
Wow, comes with GT555m and Full HD wub.gif
And a subwoofer summore!
Hmm, but seems a bit too good to be true haha, it'll surely be quite expensive sad.gif

Question is - can you wait? New models shld be out this month or the next cycle is in 3 months smile.gif
Nvr tried that game before..could be download corrupted
There are a few users here using N43SL. You might want to approach them smile.gif And btw, if you're using core i7, it's recommended you get it to 8GB RAM. It's not because you need it or not, is to maximize your swapping memory and page file utilization. Otherwise your core i7 is just sitting there doing nuts.

N43SL runs on i5-2410m laugh.gif

Hi guys im thinking of getting a N43SL . Any thoughts on this laptop? And where should i go in LYP to get it and what possible freebiez could i get out of it? I read awhile back someone got the ram upgraded to 8gb @.@ but i dont need that much i think. is it possible to get them to up the drive to SSD?
*
Planning to get this laptop for my sis as well laugh.gif
Tried it out personally and I think its quite good~ So far most of the complaints on Asus are software-related, which is quite easy to fix hehe~
Neh, unless you're using a lot of Photoshop etc., 8gb is really too much... 4GB will be more than sufficient for your usage.
As for upgrading to SSD, I don't think you can as Asus laptops are not customizable here. You can always change yourself, but make sure that there's no stickers that will get in the way 1st before you start (usually dun have la laugh.gif ); if not, you'll void your warranty. sad.gif

Or issit got option to upgrade to i7?

There's one N43Sn with i7 and GT550m, but is not available here haha laugh.gif
