I've updated my BIOS after my stupid display crashing that one..
Now it's day 6 without issues
im gonna update my BIOS as soon im free.....which is weeks away pls update us if there are any problem with the new BIOS

If the shop dun have the Asus brochure...then u should be lucky cause they might sell for RM3299 . The price suppose to be RM3499 or RM3599 due to some mistake release by Sin Chew paper. Anyway if they sell for RM3299....dun think just get it

If i have friend who can swap her free 4GB Mushkin RAM with mine, making both of us either having 2x2x2x2 or 4x4, is that a good idea? Also, whose performance will be better?
u using Mushkin ram + Elpida ram?? dam no wonder. I think the whole screen problem is because of RAM incompatibility

nah, not reallly tipu.. 4x-8x maybe.. with max config system and ssd as main transferrer 3.5 hdd 7500/10000 rpm 3.0 then maybe, maybe 8x -10x can reach * check ur drivers.. we are using like not real stable drivers 4 3.0.. unlike usb 2.0. which dun reallly nid special drivers. any1 bought a REAL bang@ olusen speaker? to pair with the sn? like BEOlab 3500?
i haven't even heard of bang and olufsen prior to this laptop. shame on me xD
all i know is my frens say good speaker brand thats why i chose n53 over a53 when buying. no regret, even tho that a53 had 2gb vram.
tho...i regret 1 thing...maybe i should have waited for n43 series... 15.6 inch not very portable...

n43sl! show some pic lai. i would imagine its same as our n53 but without the keypad.
part of me wished i waited for it tho, since 14 inch is more portable. but the other part of me wants 15.6 inch to play game/watch show bigger screen. xD

I can used either CS5 or video editing. There is a difference of RM600 between i7 and i5. If i7 meets my budget (RM2600), I can re-consider an i7 instead of i5. Right now - N53SV-SX557V is RM3199? N53SV-SX255V is RM2599? I am confused whether there is a difference between N53SV-SX255X and N53SV-SX256X?
for future proof get an i7
anyway, for the i5 SV total RAM is 8gb but for the i7 im not sure it's either 8gb RAM or 16gb RAM. RAM is really important for rendering btw
honestly seeing the i7 SV price at RM3199 i really feel like ***** cause in some shops u can get N53SN @RM3299
got 4 dimms slot for ram? if soo then WOOT~! cheers for the new lappie~ yet another new line for n53 users! (strangely, SN EOL and Limited edition still got soo many users! grats)

no, stays on all the time, plugged in a energy source.
another problem that i'm faced is, if i only use the notebook with the battery in Hight Performance mode i can't play NFS Hot Pursuit or another game because the FPS goes down to 20 or lower, i think thats is just a configuration problem but i don't know where the problem is.
well, it is not advice to leave ur laptop on for 1 2 days
anyway, in battery mode, ur GPU is set to power saving so the performance is decrease....but of course u can change the setings
really hate sonic master.. like rubbish. my volume jus at half also hav noise. what's the problem actually? software?
dude it is not SonicMaster. SM is an audio enhancer for our B&O speakers. The noise distortion is related to the speakers. Try and lower the surround, vocal clarity and bass to suit your needs. Btw, SM works great with 2.1 speakers
