And before fanbois kacau me, this is my third HDD from Seagate..... (I sent back the first one after a year of use, then came back failed within 1 week, and then after almost a year of use, this HDD also failing... Sien....

5-6 dvd depending if the cd corrupt during burning process.
takes 2 hour 15 min for me.. juz grap pop corns and hear it spins.

To think Seagate was da bomb like yearss back. They no longer have the reputation that they used to have.

1) go do backup dvd

2) reformat (can refer how to do backup and factory reset in asus manual book)

3) delete useless bloatwares http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/38068...ware-guide.html

optional ( do backup registry file and clean error registry entry by using CCleaner)

4) uninstall ATK and reinstall back (dunno why some fn key will nt work after uninstall some bloatwares, after reinstall working fine again)

5) use msconfig to unable some useless startup

6) install 'Windows Performance Tool

i also had loads of problems with Seagate...my ext HDD and my current N53SN HDD(Seagate) 
Im nvr every buying a Seagate product again 

I was wondering, if using for a long time I should take off the battery right? but when I do that the usb port wont recognize my HDD or thumbdrive

N53Sn is not FullHD, it has 4 slot RAM, slightly better GPU (GT550M)

Hi guys. I was planning to buy the N43SL model. But, now the N53SV is confusing me. Which one is better?? I am planning to use my notebook for assignments, games(Crysis kind) and FB. I am going to be a uni student soon so I prefer a notebook with more battery life, lighter weight and LESS(preferably NONE) problems(overheating, errors, etc). Thanks.

For a student, portability and battery life would be more important, hence the N43SL would be the better choice
