The meaning of pajak meaning you put your item there & they lend youthe money. and most of the time they will hope you dun come back and redeem so that they can see much better pricing elsewhere..

therefore the price they will lend to you is super low..probably 40-60% of the actual market value of the item u wanna pajak..

The best way is to sell direct tho those gold or surat pajak buyer! They will give a better value of up to 80% of the market value of your item..They even buy your surat Pajak so that they can redeem it back & sell out at better value.! Pajak is last choice and really those thinking of selling to pajak really those desperate...

Kust Imagine you buy an ipad 2 for RM1499 and selling to pajak for RM700 nxt day

That's the only legal way of selling at 1/2 the price of market value..For better pricing, you need to goto those shops wth big "$$" sign and bearing - Pinjaman wang, Beli surat pajak, beli emas & rolex..those will give a better value of atleast 80% of your items...Normally not really legal & those shops mostly Ah Long outlets, gangsters & also located side by side wth the pawn shop or just doors away smile.gif

Just look few doors away from the pawn shop sure got wan..wth BIG "$" sign and wth signboard "pimjaman wang, beli emas, rolex & surat pajak gadai"

BTW, once you see them dun feel scare bcos they are really look like Ah Long & Gangster style. I got good deal long time ago at Pudu when I was desperate during Economy downturn in 1998..Decided to sell some of my wedding gifts doh.gif blush.gif ...Pawn shop gave super lousy price, and Poh kong dunwan to accept direct selling but wanna trade in nia..So I walked down and saw one shop wanna buy gold, rolex. That's why i know very well..

BTW, in PJ, there is one old pawn shop in between UOB & Maybank..You probably see this big "$" sign few doors or opposite the pawn shop. Good luck.. smile.gif

I will; not comment on your reasoning but I was in such tight financial situation b4..furthermore..just got my 1st baby, house, car & sudden pay cut due to economy downturn blush.gif

Way back in 1998, Ah Long will accept ~ 80% of the value.. I;m not sure what is the value of white gold (titanium) but for sure higher than gold?

Added on May 21, 2011, 5:01 pmOhh I think lower price after googling...so just take ~ 80% of the value kua?

I think white gold here mean silver.

But titanium sure higher price than alu. I deal a lot with this few material. I don't see ppl use titanium as jewel. But for watches, yes.

For your info, titanium not easy import to here. Those exporter country ban import big size titanium to here due to terrotorist.

Haha..Googled & found this wikipedia entry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_gold#White_gold

So it's not Titanium paiseh....Meaning white gold is actually a mixed alloy of gold wtyh lesser gold proportion of <60% & probably nickel, manganese or palladium

Well..Still confusing when all credit card placing Titanium card higher than Gold ????
