May I ask, for the new postpaid RM 28 1 GB, what's the speed for 3G. And also after usage reached 1GB, what will happen? Will it be like Maxis charging you or like DIGI slow down the speed?

Hi all, i just switched U28 here. Everything is working well until last nite my network showed roaming and i further check and it was attaching to celcom networking.

I tried to select all network, but couldn't find the U3Gmobile. Just wake up and re search again, U3Gmobile showed but very hard to connect, it's in and out.

Do anyone of U28 or other U mobile users encountered this problem? I am living in Cheras Alam Damai, near Taman Len Seng btw.

QUOTE(baliwesti @ Oct 31 2011, 11:47 AM)
which rumor am i spreading?

1. I ask the guy about where he got the info about the throttling.
2. I ask about the quota reset. Because I don't wanna spend 30 minutes waiting for CS to pick up.
3. My phone and broadband modem both do not have signal at the moment, nothing more true than that. BTW I am meters away from the U Mobile office in Subang Hi-Tech.
*
As i say, just call the CS for verification of the throttle speed and your problem to CS, your problem is merely an isolated case, dun bring this up to become general concern here. Stop being Chicken Little here. A tip for you, if you use your U mobile sim card phone to their CS, it's totally free of charge

QUOTE(baliwesti @ Oct 31 2011, 12:21 PM)
Wow. That's new. Chicken Little.

I ask here, as I told you I was trying to get that guy to verify his sources as I also do not believe that the throttle speed is 64kbps. Don't reply to me as spreading the rumors, reply to the OP who I was replying to.
As for the calling the CS. I plan on calling but not when I don't have signal or don't have time to wait the queue out. Have any idea how to call the CS when your phone don't have signal?

Isolated case, try searching for @umobilesb on twitter or see their fb wall, then tell me it's isolated case. I am not the only one with the signal problem.

You clearly might be defending U Mobile from the tone of your replies. Hey I just switched from DiGi and P1 last deepavali to U mobile, I'm still new and plan to give them the benefit of the doubt as to their reliability. We're both on the same page bro, i'm not bashing U Mobile or anything so don't get too hyped up. And stop calling me Chicken Little. I don't appreciate that. (I'm certainly not little)
*
Bro, i may just sound like defending Umobile, but FYI, I just switched U28 plan in 13 OCT and still new and exploring it. Anything fishy i will directly shoot to Umobile CS, but not here! If there is any unfair practice in Umobile, i will shoot them and then posted here without hesitation.

And finally, i don't have any complication with the speed being slow or other issue as it was posted in this forum and i live in cheras, working in KL and yesterday was in Shah Alam ICITY. So far, the speed i can't complain abt it.

UM128k speed?

wat u mean, those speed are good considerating its the rm28/mth package

Before i subscribed to any of telco's data plan i did lots of research of their data plan. When i asked the sales agent from Midvalley(near the 3rd Floor Cinema) what's the speed for U28 plan, and she said it's normal 128k, which I think it's fair if compare to other telco like digi, celcom and maxis. The other telco also offer similar speed for the data plan with such low value.

This is not the first time I speed test on my Umobile, On the first day i tested it in my office (near Bukit Bintang area) it did really achieve more than 5mbps and i was caught in surprise with the speed as well. I will later do the test again in my office today and post the result up later.

shocking.gif really? i thought that since Celcom is their partner, the internet speed should be good. if i just want to use whatsapp, facebook and twitter,is the speed alright? or should i just stick to maxis?
*
I kicked maxis out becoz they are blood suckers, if you wanna choose, you should choose between Digi or Umbile

there is no way to track the usage for RM28 unlimited plan ( prepaid )
so you need to get apps  ( 3G dogwatch ) if you use android phone.
not sure on other phones....

eh, mine U28 is a post paid plan ler

Anyone subscribe to umobile postpaid plan u28 ?? it only for data and sms? is this service provider good? As i know it roams with celcom and dont charge extra while roaming . It is worth it as this is the cheapest data plan from a mobile.
*
Using it, and loving it apart from that dark day, i can't complain. As for the speed, you can refer to my posts here in the thread, i did several speed test here and the result is very satisfactory.
