Yup, I had the same problem. Finally after 6 days, I went to their Service Centre in 1 Utama new wing. It seems that the 7-11 people didn't register or the registration didn't go thru. So on the spot, with a few clicks of the mouse, my line was activated.

I just subscribed yesterday to the MB40 U Mobile Broadband package. I noticed my max speed the whole time could not go past 380kbps. Is there something wrong with the network or my account? I check my usage, it says I have used 22Mb so far.

Anybody experiencing the same problem as me?

I signed up on Friday. Till now, my max speed still not going above 390kbps. I am on their MB40 (2gb cap) a month plan.

B4 this a few weeks ago, I tested using their prepaid mobile unlimited (RM28 500Mb cap) and managed to get between 1 - 2mpbs.

Anyone has the idea how to check the quote from the phone with this prepaid mobile unlimited (RM28 500Mb cap)? I only can get the info about the voice & sms but nothing about the mobile unlimited (it only show unlimited mobile internet)

To check your current data allowance usage, remove the SIM card from your modem then insert the SIM card to your mobile phone.

Dial *118# and select U Broadband, then select “Check Usage”.

Hi all...

just want to confirm....

do I need to renew the prepaid MB68, each time it is expired?

or just top up is enough then it will automatically renew?

thanks
*
Sorry no auto renew. Their stupid policy is u must wait one month or the next cycle even if u were to reload your prepaid sim on the spot.

So u calling me a liar?

I told u, I also have the RM28 Mobile Unlimited PrePaid SIM card. I hit the 500Mb cap in a week. Then went to top up my prepaid but the cap was not lifted off.

Called the call centre, they said it's their policy for the PrePaid Unlimited Internet package to wait for the next month cycle for the cap to be lifted.

So during my 1 week of using the Prepaid SIM card, I got very good download speed (1mbps to 2.2mbps).

So I thought I can commit to their post paid MB40 package. But it has been 3 days and my speed has not gone above 390Kbps.

I have 2 SIM cards. One prepaid and one postpaid.

One is a 500MB prepaid card which I have gone past the 500MB cap and the speed has been throttled down.

Anyway, since I got good speed test in my area, I went and and registered for their postpaid MB40 broadband package.

For nearly 2 weeks, my speed was not more than 400Kbps.
I called their customer service and reported my problem. They check my usage at that time and confirmed that I was below my cap.

So I asked them to check to see if somebody accidentally throttled my speed or something bcs my prepaid SIM card gave me speed between 1Mbps to 2Mbps (download).

About 5 days later their technical guy called me just to double check my location and ask me some questions. But still nothing changed. Then it got worst.. I could not get more than 130Kbps. I was really fedup and was gonna unsubscribe at the end of this month.

Then last night a miracle happened. I started to get back speed between 1Mbps to 2Mbps.

I am still wondering if they had accidentally capped me in the first place or not?

Also another funny thing is, I just check my usage, I actually gone past my 2Gb cap.

This morning did another speed test. See the result below

Prepaid SIM cap is at 500Mb.

If u get 2 prepaid SIM then you have 500Mb x2 = 1000Mb (1Gb) cap
2 prepaid SIM = RM28 x 2 = RM56

Why not just get MB40 Postpaid broadband package where your cap is 2000Mb (2Gb) and u pay RM40 a month only.

I have just subscribe to UM MB40 prepaid plan few days ago. My location is in Desa Park City. I'm using the bb plan on my Samsung Tab2. However, I am not able to use the bb service at all. Not even open up google home page. The signal I have on the Tab is constantly switching between H and 3G where H is more prominent. I have already selected WCDMA only on the tab.

So I called UM CS and they told me I have to be in 3G area and my Tab showing 3G signal then I can use the service, because MB40 plan is for 3G coverage only, if H then cannot use.

Any pointers?
*
H is 3G
E is GPRS

H stands for HSPA which is faster than UMTS.

I am connected to U Mobile Broadband on HSPA aka H.
