is it true?

if i used up all 500Mb in a week on my rm28 mobile internet dataplan , I cannot subsribe to a new dataplan?
and need to wait till next month before i can subsribe/upgrade to another plan?
if so, that would mean i'd be stuck with a throttled speed no matter wat??

secondly, is the rm28 plan auto renewal by default? to cancel, need to manually do it?

thanks

Is the kfc Rm10 voucher still available?
I had a strange encounter for U mobile service center, last month I went to Umobile service center Queensbay Penang. I want to to topup my internet broadband, and ask for the KFC voucher. But they said the promotion is over. Then I asked them, wheather my prepaid internet broadban can use for calling. Then they answered can't.
If the KFC voucher still available, where can I get? I don't want to go Times Square or Sunway. Any dealer can help or possible 7-11?
One thing I found that the umobile internet information is not so informative.

Not sure bout the voucher availability, but they say offer is till next year...
for calls, u need to get the voice call n internet sim card. The internet will cost the same, only with voice function

does umobile use the uncapped thingy ? ..

Unlimited with FUP, fair usage policy..
once reach quota, still free but they throttle the speed down to 64kbs.. some say speed varies between 64-200kbs..

Yea bro. I think I am going to port both my parent line back to Maxis since um signal there is weak (it's roaming with Celcom IIRC?) I am going to continue using though since the data plan is cheap  smile.gif

i bought a voice prepaid simcard recently and use it on my phone for testing...
i'm in KL, but most of the time, i'm on 2G to save battery, thus celcom network.. but the voice line so far ok...

but now i'm contemplating...
should i jump from Maxis to Umobile or not... ayoo....
but the dataplan for Umobile is soooo cheapp....

Added on October 25, 2011, 5:34 pmhow do I buy the booster? I'm on MB68 postpaid, I can't dial *118# cuz the sim card is in that dongle modem..
*
customer service told me, u cannot boost extra data if ur on any postpaid plan (BB or BB+Voice)
same goes to prepaid rm28 unlimited BB+Voice plan.. once quota reached, u'll be stuck at throttled speed....

booster only available for prepaid BB only.... so advisable for prepaid (BB+voice) users to subscribe to normal BB plan instead of rm28 plan if data is important.. wouldnt want to be stuck at throttle speed when u really need it the most....

as of now, i'm still waiting for my old Hotlink number to be ported to Umobile.. should be anytime now (hopefully)..

yippe!! im fully ported to Umobile already...
bye bye maxis.. it has been a good 5 years...although not the cheapest..

Orh like that, may i know if umobile switched to roaming celcom mode, other than can't use the mobile data, the charge still the same right? i mean calling out and receiving in call
*
if ur phone have the option for (data roaming), u can use Celcom Edge network...

for myself, i always select 2G/Edge connection (standby mode) cos it consumes less power.... so my voice line is always using Celcom..
only when i need the speed, i switch to Umobile 3G network...

auto switch is also not recommended.. it consumes even more battery.....
sumtin like auto car, drinks more fuel than manual.... smile.gif

if that's so, why do they send me an sms telling me i can buy 1.5GB quota @ RM10? hmmm... nvm I think I'll go str8 to their branch to ask tomorrow.
*
true.. sometime these customer service dont really know what they are saying...

for example, at first, they say i cannot do anything once i've used up all 500Mb of data (unlimited rm28 plan).. once reached quota, im stuck at throttled speed... and need to wait till finish the 30days period to renew...

i ask so many times, and the 3rd times the charm... after they read the internal guidelines (for staff only) again and again, finally they can confirm that there's no limit to subscribe to the rm28 unlimited plan....
ust resubscribe to the plan and speed will be back to normal... no need to wait till 30days is up....
