I M AN UMOBILE DEALER

THEY ARE UPGRADING THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT I BELIEVE THERE ARE STILL FAR AWAY THEN ENOUGH TO ANSWER AND SOLVE ALL THE QUESTION FROM CUSTOMER AND INCLUDING DEALERS LIKE ME

LUCKILY THERE IS ANOTHER INTERNAL LINE FOR ME =.=
BUT THEY WONT ENTERTAIN NORMAL QUESTION AND WOULD PASS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU ARE NOT A DEALER, SO ANY QUESTION BETTER ASK US SO THAT WE CAN GET THEM EASIER AND ANSWER YOU ALL HERE

=.=

UMobile's billing is really bad. I got my bill d and billing date were from 1/12 - 31/12 and I'm being charged Monthly Charges RM136.00. So, i'm guessing it's RM68x2 lor but I've paid last month. Full payment in the counter in BTS. I'm subscribing on the RM68/month package. A simple formulation YET their system can generate wrong. I really dono whether it's human or technical error...  doh.gif

I'm working very near to BTS hence still ok with me. Imagine those that are not nearby to the service center and will have lots of hassle to go complaint... Buck up UMobile on your operation side... Indeed worst than Government wan... hai~  shakehead.gif

wink.gif
*
haiz , again i m going to cover UMOBILE's back again, since they annouce to dealers that they are going to charge exist customers or new customer ADVANCE PAYMENT , meaning you are going to pay next month bill now, just like 1month deposit, so that when you are going to cut the line in the future, they no need to call you to chase the last month payment icon_idea.gif i think they are getting smarter after few month chasing me but still not yet pay the balance after i had cut the old line and get a new 1 thumbup.gif

just a simple bad trick, you may cancel ur line after 5months then subscribe a new 1 for a free 7.2 zte mf 190 UNLOCKED modem rclxm9.gif it worth <>RM 50 for computer shop or handphone shop to buy it back, and around RM 129 to 149 market price

laugh.gif have or dun have?
my usage is around 20mb per day for some light surfing + facebook + watsapp
should be over the 500mb around the last few days
*
FUP means fair usage policy, only for broadband or postpaid data plan, IMAGINE within quota you are in a PRIVATE HIGHWAY, no jam; after quota you are in PUBLIC HIGHWAY during CNY balik kampung time cry.gif then you know how jam it is, but during midnight it is still ok ,right ?

but prepaid 28 is strictly capped to 64kbps after 500mb, means speed limit for small road is max 64km/h only got it ? rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(Asica @ Jan 14 2012, 10:41 AM)
Hey guys is there a problem with the network or did I get speed capped? sad.gif

I signed up in early December, still haven't received a bill. On the 20gb plan with WiFi hotspot modem.

Is there any way to check my usage? I'm finding it hard to keep track. Also are uploads counted?

Any sure fire to get uncapped, I can't handle this slow speed >.<
*
copy from my dealer guide , hope it helps

How to Check Data Usage
Step 1: Create new message
Step 2: Key in DATA or BAL, then send to 28118
Step 3: Wait for SMS confirmation

How to Check Balance Credit
Step 1: Create new message
Step 2: Key in CREDIT or KREDIT, then send to 28118
Step 3: Wait for SMS confirmation

and just for your information, umobile's bill comes very very late. and your surfing speed depends on ur signal, is it HSPA ? or UMTS or 2g only ? and lately umobile network is unstable too,

yes, the capped speed is about the same for postpaid plan. terribly and agonisingly slow once u have reached the quota.

there are honeymoons between august to november cry.gif start from last month due to too many ppl switching to umobile, currently the BROADband is like our PLUS during CNY, but our top managements announced to us about the upgrading as well drool.gif lets pray for it faster

Hi All,
I'm thinking to get a Broadband for outdoor using web surf for laptop..
Dunno get Maxis,UM Or YES..
Need some helps.
*
1st pls check your coverage on each web site for above 3 services, if not a very lite user and low budget too pls forget YES, if 5gb plan, maxis and UM is more or less, UM slightly cheaper icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(kazibul @ Jan 16 2012, 03:25 PM)
hi all.....postpaid plan user here..rm68 permonth for 5gb quota..this is my 3rd month using UM postpaid..for 1st 2 month already finish the quota for 5gb..so got question here for my 3rd month onward:

1) let say my bill statement on every 1st of month.. if my quota usage only 1gb instead  of 5gb  for one month do UM still charge me RM68?

2) does the 4gb balance of my quota will carry forward? mean 4gb + 5gb= 9gb quota
  for  my next month?

3)Do give me any pro or cons coz thinking to switch Umobile prepaid rm28
permonth..coz my usage of quota only 1gb~1.5 gb permonth since currently i'm
using this UM BB for my Openbox connection  only..so the bandwith usage very
  small..huhu..

tq
*
1) COMPULSORY RM 68 each month
2) WONT BROUGHT FORWARD, EVERY MONTH 5gb
3) if only 1gb - 1.5gb may try postpaid u28 for 1gb data if no calling, since prepaid 28 only 500mb, or u58 for 2gb and 200mins free call to others, 100mins to umobile

QUOTE(adri4n @ Jan 16 2012, 03:36 PM)

hi

thanx for reply

my question is : during these 2 weeks , would i be able to use my maxis line service ????

thanxxxxxx
*
yup, when ur maxis is not available meaning Umobile activated =.= 1st u need to make sure your MAxis is registered under whose name and you got his/her IC copy, you may call to maxis to confirm, and your adress also need to same as your registered 1, then you may send to me or other MNP service provider here to proceed, if no other trouble, should be activated within 3-5 days, thumbup.gif my average is 4 days

I scared when I'm overseas then only find out that it doesn't have roaming then jialat..

thanks!
*
my fren went bangladesh and unable to auto roaming and unable to call for prepaid, if postpaid then need go center pay RM 300 for deposit for roaming activation, when i call customer service and contact my umobile marketing exec they mention need to activate at center,

So far any complain for UM Broadband??
*
yup it is unlimited after quota, but it was a honeymoons in last year, but now due to overwhelming of usage, after the quota would be greatly affected mad.gif , as a dealer i was told that it would be finish upgrading after CNY
so it is not recommended for heavy user that demand for 1gb download per day but only offer RM 68 per month, that is impossible

ok 1st, you must check whether you had successfully subscribe the 28 unlimited mobile internet or not by *118*1*3*3#

since if you had top up 30 then your total would be RM 35, -28 is RM 7, or you buy from the dealer but he/she forgot to top up for you

you may check the idd rate http://www.u.com.my/idd/idd-bonanza or super 5 bonanza or budget IDD 1310 (only for 3g area)
if your middle east country is not falling under any above cheap rate, then would follow http://www.u.com.my/idd/idd-voice-call-rates which quite expensive

umobile capped speed very slow. max 8 kbps but avg 5-6.. i will unsubscribe this internet package.
*
depends on area 1, some ppl after quota still fast some not, and i believe most of the broadband network provider also the same, some area digi better, some area maxis or celcom better, none of them suit every1 sweat.gif

agree with coolstore that the speed is more than enuf when the quota is so less, but we only focus on the stability before and after quota, so far there is none of the telcos can promise the speed anyway

i am thinking to switch to Umobile from Maxis.. currently subscribing the value 50 + RM18 (100mb )with subline. i do moderate call locally..

its been 10 years im using Maxis ( Pre for 5 yrs & post for 5 yrs )

and at my birthday last year - They give me another sim card as a present! . really  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  mad.gif ..  i know it comes with 3 month free internet.. but, God sake..! its a simcard !  mad.gif  is this how they honor a long standing customer ?

i have a umobile prepaid that being used in my ipad. the speed is acceptable. but only at majors city. i do a lot of local travelling and i found out that umobile is great at major cities but in between.. the 2g sharing is hell worst for data. i have to switch to maxis wherever i need to replies email, login to vpns & browse for anything if i was in those 2g spots. social media is one of the reason that i need more than 100mb per month.

i hope the 3g infra sharing with maxis will be materialized soon and implemented fast. i think there is alot of people that needed change, cheap fast mobile internet with acceptable call rate and coverage.  biggrin.gif
*
totally agree but the only way to improve is the competition among telco rises up thumbup.gif

bro

i dont get this one

my simcard is for sure registered under my name

so what do u mean by calling maxis ??

can u explain more

thanxxxxxxxxxxxx
*
yup what the problems my customer usually facing is like they are using the sim card which registered under others name since some handphone shops could have probably registered the sim card under others name easily if it is prepaid, or 2nd, registered under old address, so you u need to be sure the address and name you registered with your current maxis sim card =.= so that u mobile can summit the corret information to maxis and maxis only allow to port out once all the information is exactly same rclxm9.gif IC no. Name. and address are important

*
yup, and soon going to be new system and new customer service to make it BIGGER and BETTER, then we dealer can provide the services as their own customer service then is so convenient

QUOTE(zeese @ Jan 30 2012, 04:34 PM)
The trend nowadays is, prepaid will have cheap sms & voice rate but expensive broadband/data plan. Postpaid will have expensive voice & sms but cheaper broadband/data plan.

i take celcom as an example.. if you're going for prepaid, the best data plan you can get is rm18 per week. For postpaid, you can get rm28 per month. Pretty much the same thing with digi & maxis...
Umobile is an exception (in term of data plan), coz you can get rm28 per month but the 3g coverage is so little compared to all other telcos.
*
HALF is true, but you can notice that umobile's 2g line is renting from celcom, and only very small portion of the bandwidth of celcom, therefore during PEAK hour like 7pm to 10pm we get very very hard to call to umobile to enjoy free call. but postpaid may offer the same voice call service like celcom therefore there got no free call for postpaid and rate is higher sweat.gif , actually umobile also got u38 u68 u98 RM 0.12/ min postpaid, but no data allowed

and bout the data, prepaid unlimited is strictly capped into 64kbps after quota but postpaid offer FUP which mean during non-peak hour you might still enjoy the high speed. thats the conclusion why we are selling postpaid line more than prepaid card, 1 is for long term usage,1 is for testing or lite user

QUOTE(ck_boon @ Jan 30 2012, 04:49 PM)
any promo for umobile recently? just finish the um68 for 2 month package for rm80 recently...sien lar needs to reload rm68
*
i am offering RM 58 for 5gb package come with sim card, meaning you are going to change the sim card once per month for this offer, usually for ipad or broadband users =.= or enjoy reload discount from me
