CNY Garage: IF i have subscribe for the umobile broadband and purchase the 21mbps modem and discovered the service is terrible; do they refund the modem money as well since it will be useless? Any other hidden charges like stamp fees etc?

AFAIK I have to pay rm350 upon subscription include modem. IF I am not satisfied how much will be refunded?

Unsubscribing to an existing prepaid broadband plan only deactivates auto renewal.
Re-subscribtion can only be done after the plan expired.

Hello when i put my Umobile prepaid in iPad can't get 3G, always stay for 2G EDGE. Put in my phone then ok. Now i can't get online after subscribe to RM15/15days broadband.....???

I plan is mb68, 5gb. In my bill there are charging me monthly fee rm68, advanced rm68, activation fee rm100, deduct rm-20 rebate, rm-42 prorate because i applied around 20/02/2012. Total around rm 174. I will bring my bill to enquiry at the service center at tropicana city mall before i pay. Send email enquiry to the umobile customer service, they replied asking my account details and never reply again. I'm supicious of the shop is tweaking the promotion offer by umobile to make extra profit. By the time I register, I'm asking about how's the m68 prepaid plan. The SA was telling I need to pay rm135 to buy the starter pack with rm68 loaded inside. I need to buy the modem myself or buy from them rm100, if buy from them and never register rm130. Later I found out the starter pack rm135 should be loaded rm68 and bundled with the modem. The problem is before this my streamyx line can't go into u.com.my to find out the detail of the plans. When I went to the shop at the Mines shopping fair, the shop was look like an Umobile authorised outlet with big UMobile logo and lot's of umobile products brochures inside. But inside the umobile website they got stated this shop as U Frens outlet that providing umobile services. Not sure they can alter the price of the umobile plan to con customer or they r running their own business without getting commissions from umobile.

for the benefit of other users out there,

if you just wan to use broadband, no need to signup postpaid although postpaid will make the dealer "richer"

prepaid broadband is also as good as postpaid, just that postpaid bb usim is 3G only sim which can only be used on a 3G fon or a USB modem , whereas Prepaid Broadband utilise a 2G/3G simcard which can be used on a normal 2G fon to make calls ( if you have the credit ) or connect online if you have subscribed to any broadband package.

postpaid bb have to pay 6% Gov tax

postpaid bb hav to be bill the one month advance on the first bill

prepaid bb can "escape" the above 2 "traps"

btw, some guys will sell the rm135 bundled broadband package with modem separately, meaning the bb rm68+rm5(simcard) for rm73 and the modem separately for rm100 (new ma) this is the 5GB/30days package.

and currently there is the 15% topup bonus if u make an international call , your next topup will entitle for 15% bonus

eg; you top rm10 now, make an international call for 30secs to anyone in say China, then on your next topup ( say rm10 ) you will get 15% on top of it, rm10+rm1.50= rm11.50, solid credit

hey guys, just wanna know if the speed for BB prepaid plan, the weekly Rm5 i think, it says unlimited data and unlimited video streaming, but when i test the connection, i am only getting around 5 to kbps ... thats right, kbps and not mbps... dont know if that the speed for the plan... how to know what's wrong?? call them up? The speed is so slow, better than Edge maxis even better than gprs i htink....

so now hav to wait?? till the digi line deactive?
