QUOTE(wyonneh @ Nov 4 2011, 09:38 PM)
you're getting 5mbps speed in Klang valley area, meaning it's fast right? not really familiar with those speed tests..i wonder how's the speed like if i go langkawi  hmm.gif
*
U mobile does not have coverage for 3g for langkawi.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Nov 5 2011, 02:42 PM)
BTW, how much do UM reduce your speed after over limit? Currently on MB40...
*
I think it would be about 10kb/s like that.

QUOTE(Juneapril @ Nov 5 2011, 08:04 PM)
They said The grass always look greener on another side. I am in Klang Valley. Within Lembah Pantai constitution. I don't feel lucky as you might have thought. With Umoble I managed to get the speed over 2.0 mbps with my first month subscription. The subsequent months never get over 2.0 . My speed is about 1.5 (non-throttled speed). Frequent disconnection. This one week, the disconnection happened way too frequent (estimate every 5-10 minutes).  Until today, still remain the same. I went to UMoblie Berjaya, they said the classic excuse "We are upgrading".  What can I do?  The technology behind is not releveant to me, it is the end result to the  customer. They can talk on the news of what ever tehnology for the sake of their shareholder benefit but as as customer we need something that we can really feel. At least not like what happening to me now.  (yes, I am disappointed)

Bear with it?

Ten years ago I would have said the same thing because we don't have choice but as of today, I would say f*** it... just get Maxis, Celcom or Digi.

Last night i am using the phone to reply, so i cut short from replying long.

For postpaid user, they have to bear with it. Otherwise, they have to use their own sweet time and petrol to the SC and wait in the queue to terminate their line.

When celcom, digi, maxis gonna have rainy days, do like that again is crazy.

But i am doing online business wo. Broadband rainy days means i no need to do business meh? No need to earn money to pay rent, expenses and etc?

That is why i use prepaid internet. When one prepaid broadband have rainy days, jump ship directly by changing sim card. No need to use my own sweet time and petrol to the SC and wait in the queue to terminate my line.

Still don't improve or expensive rate? LEFT THE prepaid sim card to rot in the drawer UNTIL something changes. tongue.gif

No need to come here to rant.

Note: It is just business, nothing personal for broadband agents who read this and it is not meant to offend anyone.

=========================================================================

For data, 500MB +unlimted 64kbps usage is sweet for me ald. It is more to management rather than how much you have.

Until now, still have not being throttled yet. tongue.gif

U Mobile and Maxis entered RAN sharing, so nationwide 3.5G coverage very soon
*
The shared locations however, will exclude urban market centres such as the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Baru and Ipoh.

as i know, until now, digi only provide 1Mbps to smartplan users. You will never get 2 or 3Mbps and above no matter where you are.

As U mobile, you will get better result at KL & Selangor. I always get 2-3Mbps download and 1Mbps upload at least.
Of course, if you are at outside of city, like small town, it will always in celcom 2G roaming.

Been using digi for 1 year plus, always run speedtest. Highest i got was 1.1mb. Never got higher.
Does it show a "H" sign or "H+" if you are using a mobile phone ? In my case, Samsung Galaxy SII hmm.gif

Edit : got my answer. if its really HSPA+, the S2 will show "H+"

Does our quota include the upload as well? Or is it only the download that counts?
