I ordered the Apple Digital AV Adapter along with the iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G 64GB - Black on 23/5/2011

Delivers 10/06/2011

AV Adapter
Ships within 24 hours
Delivers 26/05/2011 - 27/05/2011

So I called Apple Store Customer Service yesterday and chit chat with them asking what is taking so long to get a silly AV Adapter to clear customs lah. Then they say because it is shipped along with other items, so the customs take some time to clear everything. I told them that the estimated date of delivery should include the customs clearance delay (which by now, they should be able to estimate fairly well); and that they should try to do something to expedite the matter as such a wait is unfair to the customers. I also mentioned that if its like that, then no incentive to buy from apple store lah since small item also can kena delay like that, and its not as if its cheaper.

Then after that, today got an email saying that my iPad 2 sudah ship liao

my question is, is it normal that they ship iPad 2 earlier than their quoted dates? Or has this got anything to do with the chat that I had with them? If yes, then call to politely complain = gooding?

but anyway, can't wait...

is it only for the iPad 2 or anything ordered from Apple Store? If anything goes, at this rate, my AV Adapter should almost be free liao. lol

hmmm... don't know if anyone has thought about it but Subang Airport is the place to rob if you want to get load of ipad 2 since the customs clearing is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow.

Initially it was supposed to be 10/6 (when ordered)
It was shipped earlier and the ETA was 7/6, but got it a day earlier.

I ordered mine on 23/5.
