QUOTE(leeyung @ Aug 27 2011, 10:48 PM) Wow, you have a nice setup for marimo. But remember to change water frequently as your water is what we used to call 'dead water'. thanks for the advice ya^^ but it seems like got a small lump caming out of my marimo after few days i got it from you.. is that normal?By the way, the word 'pregnant' does not seem appropriate for Marimo |

QUOTE(Kinci @ Aug 28 2011, 05:07 PM) Are those marbles or water absorbing crystal jelly? I tried the jelly thing. But somehow it shrunk after like a few weeks in water. =_= I got no idea why. They turn back into their original size now. Maybe they can just absorb then need keep apart from water? Being in water too long somehow spoils them? o.O??? those are marbles, but i put in some water absorbing crystal jelly too if you can notice in my picture.. coz to me i thought that water absorbing crystal jelly could provide some minerals or sorts to my marimo?? correct me if i am wrong ya.. so far the water absorbing crystal jelly still ok ah, sink to the bottom after some time i put it in loh.. come share share how you boost up the growth of your marimo, been wanting to boost up the growth so impatiently until i put in ice cubes many times a day...lol^^Added on August 29, 2011, 2:03 am ![]() ![]() bringing marimo on journey, 8 hours journey^^ This post has been edited by sharon_tchui: Aug 29 2011, 02:03 AM |

QUOTE(leeyung @ Sep 13 2011, 10:28 AM) Mostly due to poor water circulation, this is because from your photo I can see at the bottom part there are a lot of scraps of Marimo. Btw I m doubting about the magic ball you all mentioned before this, the magic balls are meant for ground plant and not for aquatic plant ok sir, noted!^^ treating nano right away~ |

QUOTE(leeyung @ Sep 26 2011, 07:15 PM) haha. The jumbo marimo and my super giant is actually almost the same size la. U should compare the size in millimeter (mm) then u will see it is the same, just name different only. but those marimos they selling not nice mia =.= not as nice as yours but the price sky high lol!And then hor, something I need to stress out here. Actually, Giant Marimo and Nano Marimo is the name I created to name the marimos. Because people usually say, big marimo and small marimo then I feel I want to make it easier to differentiate by calling Giant and Nano. (because some time people tot "big" very BIG, so I named giant to avoid misunderstanding) Mana tahu now people all copycat. And then I feel quite annoyed, because my buyers told me some 'competitor' stole my FAQ. Copy bulat bulat. The FAQ I created it myself to share the knowledge about marimo to members here so that people can learn more about marimo. So you can see got some broken English inside, like marimo "tata". This is the usual way I like to say 'die'. So, if you go to that seller's fb and see the FAQ, exactly the same with my FAQ, even 'tata' and some spelling mistake also copy bulat bulat. FYI, I asked my supplier about any new marimo sellers in Msia, other than the few which I know, I found out currently many people claimed their marimos are from Hokkaido, but my distributors say currently he do not have any add on distributor, so I wonder whether those people selling in FB really import their marimo from Japan or not. So, my advise you have to think and see properly yourself before buying. Haha PS: Thanks for letting me know, sharon_tchui, Added on September 26, 2011, 7:22 pm BTW, this tank from Jusco RM8.90?? yeap its from aeon jusco, around 11+, 4.4litre de wa wa create bonsai, yung upload some pictures la~ long time you didnt update with your cool marimos!!^ ^ |
