hi decemberose, yes your marimo is getting sick! no worry, use a little salt to rub and wash the "sick" part of marimo after that fill the marimo in the bottle with water mixture of 5% of salt and put them into fridge for 24-48 hours wink.gif this is the remedy wink.gif

btw, why shrimp tank must use those black black sand? ada special features? more nutrient or can control water hardness?
*
I put my marimo together with other aquatic plants. Those black black thing is soil biggrin.gif
If you keep shrimp you are also recommend to put soil to control the water PH tongue.gif

sry if i asking stupid question but tongue.gif

can put marimo inside here?

http://www.hacknmod.com/store/images/uploads/sku_10684_1.jpg

lol very cute leh if can :3 carry it around~* but i think msian temperature cannot sad.gif
*
blink.gif Is not a stupid question,because i got think this before biggrin.gif
I do not recommend you to put inside the bottle and carry like this because Malaysia temperature is terrible unless you always stay inside the air cond room.Marimo prefer temp 28c or lower to stay healthy. Besides, temperature going up and down very fast which might hurt the plant.Next thing is the air ventilation is limited and you require frequent water change in order to keep the water fresh and maintain the mineral require by marimo biggrin.gif
Hope it help smile.gif

not feeding any guppies...as the water will be hard to maintain and i will bring up to kl when i open school
lol...that one is very sick already...i think i should prevent this happen...haha...
i better take care of it properly...hmmm...
*
Recommend you to put marimo together with tetra as both of them need cool temp to stay healthy and colorful biggrin.gif
Guppies prefer warmer water compare to tetra

lol...thanks...but today they seems to be ok...just a bit brownish only...sad.gif
but the water is hard to maintain and i nid to buy the filter right? i nvr try feeding tetra before...i just know how to feed shrimps...tetra nids filter or not??
*
No matter fish or shrimps you keep, both need filter to maintain the water cleanliness. If you go for tetra i recommend cardinal tetra as life span is longer and they are harder than neon tetra. Of course price also be more expensive compare to neon tetra. If you not going for filter then u have to change your water at least once a week. I did that before, 5cardinal tetras in a small tank without filter with my marimos for 2months before i move to 1.5ft tank. biggrin.gif

i put sakura. Just change wawter. added anti chlorine and anti chloramine treatment
*
how long you run your tank?try to change your tank water 20-30% every week.
Put soil is better as it can control your water ph. Since the plant u put require soil why dont you put soil?they will grow more healthy and nice with soil, proper lighting and co2:D
