tot of keeping it.. but need to know a few things

1-If i put it on my office desk, then at night and weekend got no light, is it ok for the marimo?
2-The aircond in my office is kinda crazy, will it affect the marimo?

I suddenly have an idea.
Maybe marimo can be a family hand me down treasure?
People hand down their jewels from moyang to cucu.
maybe we can use marimo? Since it grows very slow..can last for generations lor~

my marimo farm - it wasn't very healthy at first with room lighting and empty setup - brown patches exist.

so i added a 10k daylight lighting and marimo start to have bubbles on it.

shrimps, soil, air pump and shells we added later on with abit of fertilizer.

just abit overkill i know but marimo seems to be getting better.

everynite got cold spa cause its temp drops in aircond room.

I am a newbie marimo owner.  Just wanna share some pics with other wonderful marimo enthusiasts here.





(The tank is actually on top of my printer. :/ Finally my marimos start to pearl after I added a more direct light. Yay!  )

It all begin when my friend requested me to take care of his little marimo in a bottle. I did more research and my interest in them grew. Hehe.

Just a little question, I actually wish to take out the marimo from the bottle to give it a massage, but I realised that the opening of the bottle is smaller than the marimo. Is there any way to take it out (tweezer, etc)? My last resort is to break the bottle.

here is mine. each week i changed different deco while helping them changing water
