If you always clean dust on the vents and don't simply OC your laptop, it should be able to last for 4 years easily. Especially for models NP8130 onwards which have 2 vents.

in terms of working as engineer and if U do need it, i mean as i explained before having 2920XM even wont help that much to your FPS in games unless U jUst WaNnA HaVe It For The NaMe of EXTREME EDITION and Fun - for me if i have the funds i 'll get 990X ! like cyz the lable is awesome   ! haha...but it think it would WORTH if u prefer a heavvyy multi tasking...you might not understand the difference yourself between these range of 2630 to up but i would give a better loading and speed when there many apps  left open and running,-- now i have a core i7 970 six Core and sometimes i really can feel that the laptop is very nice ! sometimes i am converting a HD movie from camera while i am browsing, there is no lag over my laptop  - so if u dun have problem with your procket then i guess u can easily go with it and be happi - 2720QM to up (2820 and 2920) are really great investments.

yep once u got the funds a SSD would by really fun ! i can really feel how fast my np7282 is boot up and shitdown or run the apps which are installed in SSD, i was thinking to get for my third storage a 300GB SSD also...its a realy BooosSStt

u did not get actually what i said, my point WAS not to get fps of over 60 in a game like crysis or GTA or whatever, cuz i know myself its useless. that is why they made smt called Vertical SynC to solve this problem of tearin and high FPS for strong SPECs. What i meant to say is having 3D vision and or enabling PhysX are real frame killer, even a 580M can not handle Alice MAdness returns with physX high ! and it will brind down the frame to below 30, so U prefer to play a game that is not smooth with a feature called PHYSX which doest not add any element to the beauty and gameplay of game actually ? if its PC SLI then that would be reasonable to kill the frame rate to 40...And i guess your eyes and everybody eyes would understand the difference of a 30 FPS and 45 FPS above, so u try yourself ! do u prefer to play Crysis with 30 FPS and PhysX ultra (if it would have it) or play more smoother at 50 FPS?  that is what i meant to say not the number of FPS the are being produced by powerful GPUs like 6970-6990 or 570 and 580 or Dual Configurations

hmm, i guess i haven OC my computer for quite awhile, i kinda forget how to OC the ram. I think adjust the FSB only right? and the latency timings?

oh man! those design are cool! hmm, but dun have those for 17 inch lappy le.. sad

The thing is that for the keyboard part, we have to cut it ourself, it gonna be troublesome and we might actually scratch out lappy.. heart pain

try check ur keyboard design, do tell me that u can cut first then stick it. i will praise for ur sticker cutting and sticking talent.

Just leave the keyboard uncovered, when it becomes dirty, just buy a new 1..

how much is the keyboard? Btw, do u know how to change the ram for NP7280? I can't find a guide to change the ram and even locate the ram. should be at the keyboard there.
