1. It's all depends on the user's preferences and field of work. The designers choose better screen to produce better color output for the design.
2. You can buy External DVDRW locally.

3. If you choose to install 2nd hard disk on optical drive, you won't get internal DVDRW.
4. It depends on you. I choose standard 1 year warranty and my laptop still going strong.
5. Again, your preferences. If you worry about warranty, can go to illegear.com (Prince J @ lowyat.net)
6. Depends on the seller, but the buyer have to take care on the shipping rate and any taxes involved.
7. No tax for fully-assembled laptops/computers
8. There's an option offered by the seller such as Rush Order, monitor color calibration, decals/stickers, overclocking, thermal paste, etc.
no no, you got me wrong on several things
1. I mean is the quality difference huge? as in IPS is to TN panels or does the screen upgrade quality a marginal increase? np9150 to matte is already rm100, to 72% gamut is rm300, that's quite a sum. I was afraid i'd regret it.
2. Yes i know, but the ones xoticpc is selling is $19=60-70 whereas the price here is 100+. Plus DIY isnt really my strong suit.
5. I mean if I import. Illegear is too expensive IMO.
8. I was referring to shipment cost, and other cost associated with the purchase regardless on the laptop price.
I was thinking something like this, np9150 with the max matte upgrade, + 500gb hdd and 120gb ssd + the cheapest external dvd. will it be cheaper and than if i buy 500gb+caddy case($15) + ssd and external dvd here in malaysia?
