I'm looking for mSATA SSD, I called to LBO, n they told me it is situated near to the CPU fan and quite easy to install. Therefore, I no need to sacrifice my DVD ROM!
Performance RAM? Wont make much different if u already got 1600MHz i guess? noob me giving noob comment
You can check the mSATA in xoticpc NP9150 video, starting from 30:52.
I am so much attracted to this NP9150. The backlit keyboard allows me to work in the night with all the lights off. The three USB 3.0 ports (including the one combo with E-SATA) are good enough because the other USB 2.0 port is just for the use of mouse, so no biggy.
The Ivy Bridge (3rd gen i7 processor) and ATI RADEON 7970M are big plus. Other than that, actually, the optical drive is kinda useless considered how often we use it, replacing it with a 2nd HDD or SSD would be good. Anyway, the external thin optical drive is only USD 19. The only time we would use a DVD drive is to install windows and drivers or other software. Maybe everything can be done using an external hard drive too.
what is the best GPU can P151EM1 or NP9130 can upgrade?
Theoretically NP9130 is lowly powered due to the limitation of the power adapter. I think you need a bigger power brick (power adapter) for more power to power up stronger graphics card. As far as the chipset, I think NP9130 and NP9150 are the same --> Intel HM76
cool. lets have fun together with new card i believe you can go for gtx675m as they both similar to 670m but it's not wise to upgrade from 670m. best is to wait until your card is not highly supported for new release game first i thought they are using HM77 or maybe it's just my mistake
Hi, Looking to buy a sager from US website. Can anyone recommend me a company that offer cheaper shipping (~200usd)? Since USPS ban lithium batteries from international shipping, every website I went through charge ~350usd for shipping.
So, which courier service are you guys using now to ship from U.S. to Malaysia? UPS? Fedex? DHL? Do they provide tracking system? And how much does it differ from the old USPS?

in my opinion, they should provide tracking system worldwide, unless you're using a local US-based courier service. USPS is the equivalent of POS Malaysia actually.
I bought mine from XoticPC last year. My NP8170-S1 is now 1-year old. Used to be delivered by USPS. Yes, their service is equivalent to POS Malaysia but it is sad to see that they ban lithium-ion batteries for any shipment, and laptop comes with lithium-ion batteries :[ USPS shipment is cheaper as compared to UPS. Never tried Fedex, DHL before.
Actually after USPS banned the delivery of lithium-ion batteries which causes price hike in shipping cost, I've been thinking about the possibility of getting Sager/Clevo laptops from China/Taiwan (since Clevo is originally from Taiwan and Sager is just a re-branded version of Clevo).
Anyway, either route you still need to take care of the warranty issue unless you don't really mind about it.
Quite tempted to get the NP9150 due to the backlit keyboard (sometimes when I work overnight in a dark room, the lights on the keyboard allows me to type without having too much eye-sight issue), but I'm still holding my NP8170-S1 which is one year old.
Come to think of it NP8170-S1 (17") is too large for me now. An NP9150 with 1 HDD and sacrificing the ODD for SSD would be good for me. I believe an external thin ODD is cheap nowadays considered it is only selling at USD 19 in xoticpc.
installing drivers now and will perform benchmark later. man that power brick is damn huge.i thought my current dell laptop is big enough but this is really a brick size.i can use it to kill people seriously
Grats on receiving your laptop, dude. Can't wait for a review, please show the backlit keyboard in dark too
