1)Any of u guy have the 6970, or all get nvidia card, this 6970 got any bad problem or not. Amd 6990m is coming out soon, dun know whether should I wait, $ also another factor to consider. Is the difference big between 6970 and those gtx 485, 580 and 6990. I men in real life, can really feel it or just on paper?

2) thermal paste, can it be done easily by by us, should i order it with the laptop?

3) windows 7 is a sager oem one right? so If we change our laptop in future, it can be use as long as the new one is still sager notebook. Save cost in future purchase. Am i correct.

4 ssd, If i want to use it for boot drive and application and may be few games, all movies, data on the other 500gb 7200 disk, 60gb enough or i should go for 120gb? sata2 or sata3? any good brand? ocz , crucian m4
or intel?

5, the wireless card, I have a vostro 3750 with intel card n1030, something like that. If I downloading at full speed, firefox wont be able to browse, always keep loading, or show white page with error, or stuck. For 6230, 6330, did u people face any problem with them? any recommendation? I hate to stop browsing when I downloading stuff.

AMD Radeon 6970m is phased out around 1 month ago. You would not be able to get this card in Sager machine right now.

1. Get a GTX485m or wait for the new 6990m, the best cards recently. However, my senior in Sager said there is no 6990m news on Clevo side.

2. Please do a lot of homework before applying the thermal paste, when thing comes worst, it will burn your motherboard, cpu or gpu. It's not an easy job for first time-user.

3. Yes it is Sager OEM recovery win7 disc.

4. 500gb hybrid 4gb ssd drive is the best option for you. Note that the 4gb ssd doesn't mean the ssd storage, it means the 4gb flash memory on the 500gb hdd. Its performance is very close to SSD and has a 500gb storage. If you are getting a NP8170, I recommend you to get 2 Hybrid drives and make them raid-0.

That might be true for many other clevo resellers, but Sager do us the thermal apply job directly, not illeGear.

We have recognized the inefficiency of changing thermal paste on our own, some more its like changing the component without having acknowledgement of both customer and Sager.

The ic diamond price is expensive, because Sager is doing lot of stress test on all the machines, the price is going to technician labor cost . On resellers side, it is actually very hard to do stress test as we have to rush for ETA. That's the main difference.

Although we can do it our own to cut down a lot of cost, we will gain authorization by Sager on the first place.

So far our customers never encounter any problem with this card.

np8170 is quite heavy and not suitable for carrying around, but it is lighter than m17x a lot.

NP5165 and NP5175 are clevo based notebook. NP8130 is RM4399 now.

Just get a NP5165 if your budget is RM3200, you can upgrade your lappy in any time at the future.

Hi there,

NP8130 and NP8150 are similar, the main difference is the power supply they use, NP8150 has bigger power supply, so NP8150 can be configured many extreme GPUs.

Bigfoot has high maximum speed, but if you are using low speed internet, you won't feel big difference between this and default WLAN card. The driver of which bigfoot is using is quite different with the default one also.

NP8150 is the Sager best sale model actually. For those ppl who are going for GTX485/ 6970M or GTX580M.

But if you are going to take GTX560M, I suggest you to take NP8130, there is not much difference with NP8150 except the power supply.

Great news for all, Sager is now offering 95% gc screen for default NP8130, the price remains the same, plus the RM100 discount, it's an unbeatable deal.

NOTE THAT THIS NTSC 95% SCREEN WILL LAST AROUND 5 DAYS ONLY. ACCORDING TO MY SENIOR IN SAGER, THIS IS BECAUSE THEY ARE TEMPORARY OUT-OF-STOCK WITH THE NP8130 STOCK SCREEN.

Seriously, there is day and night difference between stock screen and 95% cg screen, but for those who don't care for the color gamut, stock screen is the better way to go.

After done so many stress tests, the highest temperature I have ever seen is 86 degree. If turn on max fan speed, then that would down to 83 or 84 degree. The figure might not be accurate because it is subjected to weather. Above data are tested out from Malaysia, I can achieve 5 degree less in Australia and 7 degree less in England.

To Penang. Courier charges are free.
NP8170 is 17.3 inch, 5 speakers 1 sub woofer, 3D capable.
NP8150 is 15.6 inch, 2 speakers 1 sub woofer, NTSC 95% color gamut screen capable.

1. NP8170 - S1 package revives, features with 16gb ram, i7-2720qm, 750gb primary hdd and free IC diamond.

2. RAM prices are decreased significantly. Especially 16gb 1600MHz RAM.

3. Bigfoot Wireless Killer 1102 is phased out, replaced by Bigfoot Wireless Killer 1103 featured with 3 antennas instead of 2 antennas. Maximum speed increases from 350 Mbps to 450 Mbps. Price difference between 1102 and 1103 is about RM60.

4. New GPU AMD Radeon 6990m on NP8150, NP8170 and NP8170 - S1, price is the same as GTX485m.

5. GTX580m price is reduced. GTX485m price is reduced again.

6. NP8130 is able to configure i5-2410m and plan to target mid range gaming users.

7. NP8150 NTSC 95% Color Gamut Glossy screen price decreased by about RM150.
