Ipad is not good to replace a notebook for office use, but it's always good to be able quickly do some minor editing or reviewing when on the go on our ipad.

So which will be a better choice? All of these apps are expansive relatively to other ipad apps, so it's definitely a huge pain if we were to buy 1 of it and only to regret.

Hopefully those who are using it can give some good comments on these apps.

PS: I know there's an iWork topic down there, but this is more to a general topic to discuss the best office app out there for ipad.

Yes. you can use iPad to login to Google Docs to edit.

azerak means if you want to offline editing on the documents, it needs apps.

If online, just go to Google Docs to edit the documents.

I hope to hear from someone who has used the few different ones. Then that would be an impartial feedback.

Most of the time, someone just buys an Office App and claim that's the best.

agree, but what's the chances of someone bought all 3 since all are so expansive?

anyway, what i hope is user who used it can give some information of what they bought on things such as user friendly and compatibility.

i am using quickoffice now, trying to use it as much as i can now so that i can fully understand it's disadvantages and advantages when i am on the go without the heavy lappie biggrin.gif

hoping more people who've bought the app to vote on this, as i kinda need some help on this.

i already have Documents To Go [universal app], and I was wondering whether this is sufficient enough for usage in iPad as compared to Pages. [comparing between document editing capability. not really bothered with powerpoint/etc editing]

Who's using Docs To Go in their iPad? any input on this? thanks biggrin.gif

I owned Numbers, Keynote and Quickoffce Connect.

As far as I can tell based on my three weeks of using all these apps, the best compatibility with MS Office files is Quickoffice (some says Docs to Go is better, but i don't have it yet to evaluate it).

Some of my excel formula when imported into Numbers cannot be read by the apps, example =sum(number*percentage). Have to use Quickoffice for this most of the times. Plus Quickoffice Dropbox support is superior and better suited for me than archaic itunes file transfer method on Numbers and Keynote.

However on ease of use, Numbers and Keynotes are way better than Quickoffice.

My 2 cents.

@tarm, thanks for the input. after much googling however, i think Docs to Go is sufficient enough for my needs as of now. I will however, look into buying Pages when I find it absolutely necessary to do so.

As for excel and ppt files, Docs to Go is also sufficient as I only need a ppt viewer[not an editor] and i seldom use excel files.

It's unfortunate that from the many office iphone apps that i bought [ReaddleDocs, Quickoffice Pro, DocsToGo, Aji Annotate, GoodReader], only Docs to Go is a universal app.

Now, I have to fork out almost the same amount of money or more to buy their corresponding iPad apps. i just wish more devs develop excellent universal app and/or cheaper iPad specific apps. yawn.gift: OT biggrin.gif

I had numbers. Great apps

But:

1. Not support merge cell
2. Limited color fill

I hope can sync to my computer so can update both place!
