"On 11 December 1993, Block One of Highland Towers In Taman Hillview Ulu Klang collapsed due to structural failure, causing 48 deaths and prompting the evacuation of the other two towers for safety concerns.
Today the two towers are left standing, abandoned - a frozen moment in time perhaps."

This is one of my ongoing photography projects in university - I chose this location because of the socially, politically and industrially-significant impacts created during its time. It was one of the first large scale building structural failures to occur in Malaysian history and shook the entire building industry causing them to re-examine the fundamentals of building site, approvals and maintenance.

Today it carries this legacy (and that of dadah addicts). Lighting was difficult as my experience with indoor building photography is scarce.

Hmm not that we were aware of! However if you look closely at the bottom of the "messy bedroom shot" (pic#14) u can find a vague smiley face tongue.gif

maybe, something like this? 1 minute job

Original
My PP

Temperature a bit bluish, a bit greenish tint
get back more details a bit, contrast gelap sikit, sharpen a bit for the gritty look, upped the vibrance, but not desaturate because i  still want the colours, just want it to be slightly faded, not removed.

can see lah a bit of the noise at the doors, but only if you want to see it tongue.gif i believe adjusting from the raw or from the high-res MP should be ok.

Thanks.. do agree that your PP reveals a more dramatic feel.. an almost cold one... thumbup.gif

You're not the first person whom I met online who have been there but, you guys were really brave. Nice photos anyway!

P/S: The hand print, I don't think it's red paint because of the drag mark behind. Red paint shouldn't look like that right?
I want to know this tooo! TS, did you meet any? tongue.gif

I'm no expert on blood stains.. but shouldn't dried blood be browned out? Anyway.. in our minds thinking that it was blood seems too cliche.. chances are some rempits or addicts were toying with red paint..
