Hi all,

Do you guys know how much is the interest for Hire Purchase for Volkswagen Golf TSI now?

And my friend did told me one SA offered him a GTI test drive unit which clocked more than 10k km at rm190k and interest for 9 year loan is about 1.77%. Only that he need to fork out RM 26k down payment.

Question, can transfer my NCB from old car if i purchase TSI?

If i wait until next year (have to) say if 2011 stock still got, will i got it at a discount?

Please poison me. I wanna join you guys for TT too..haha
*
Depends ... if they are having problems clearing the 2011 stock, then they'll definitely have some discount going on (assuming you purchase in Dec 2011 or Jan 2012 onwards).

In relation to NCB, no problem. Had maximum deductions when I transferred from my old Wira to my new VW. You will save a shed-load of cash since the GTI's yearly insurance is about RM6k+ without any NCB's.

Set your priorities right my friend ... are you going for space or performance/driving pleasure?

Importantly, buy the car that you will not have any regrets later on.

stress ... out of town so can't join you fellas sad.gif

anyways ... please welcome me to the "i have a problem with my golf" club. my suspension makes this annoying squeeking sound when i go over bumps or rough road ... the same sort of sound a rally car makes when they go over bumps. now that would be cool if i was colin mcrae but since i am clearly not, it sucks big time.

anyone else encounter this problem on their golf and more importantly, any fix available?

its normal..u cant hear it from inside the car rite? im guessing u hear it when u wind down your window to pay parking, then go over a hump with windows open
*
no man ... i can hear hear it from the inside. my guess is it's got something to do with the suspension bushings.

i'm 99% sure that the guys at the service centre will know jack $hit about this or claim it's normal ... i value feedback here more.

if its a grinding sorta noise "grikack griakcck" then u just need the SC to put rubber houses to seat the springs properly
*
good tip ... thanks

however, it's more of a "chik chik" squeeky sound. maaaan ... my old wira had the same sound and it only disappeared when i replaced the suspension

QUOTE(futobuta @ May 26 2011, 09:51 PM)
Yeah.. I've got this ages ago. Mine comes from the rear left side suspension. Confirmed it by parking the car, opening the back door, and pressing the car down on the floor board. Can hear 'nyit-nyit' type of squeeking sound. But this only happens occasionally, on a super hot day. It goes away when the car cools down. The technicians told me that some rubber part there expanded due to the temp, thus the rubbing.
Mine got another weird problem. Just experienced it for the first time tonight. While going down a parking ramp, my car's engine just died off after going over a hump. I was going like less than 5kph. Called up the hotline and they told me that there could be something wrong with my fuel pump or something.. asked me to go check it out tomorrow. doh.gif But of course I could easily restart my car after that, and everything is running smoothly now. I am just curious to know why it happened.
*
Man that sucks ... hopefully it's nothing.

Yeah man ... the problem you described in your first paragraph is exactly what's going on with my car except that I think all four sides of the car has this problem. Did you manage to fix it?

So far I always wash my car at Imola AutoSpa for the past few years.. They using totally meguiars product until their wash cloth also use that product.. They are not just car wash.. They also selling aftermarket products.. Got few carbon fibre products for golf and they are the authorized dealer for Caractere.. U can google it..
*
Sounds interesting ... how much is a wash?

So far I've only washed my car at Shine N Shield where I did my cars' PPS treatment. But the place is just too damn far so looking for good alternatives.

@wira1979,

hey bro .. ur OSIR foot rest... u just used double-sided tape ? or screwed it in ?
*
Screw it in .... if you just stick, I think sure tercabut after a few months. Put some double sided tape (a few extra layers) so that it'll be padded and tight. If not, it will rattle and drive you nuts man.

Eh where u got ur auto cruise ar? N most importantly how much?

Added on May 31, 2011, 2:03 pmJust came back fr FA 222. Stock for new gti coming nx week. Fastest can get car by mid June
*
No lah brother mana ada. Last time I asked them (VGM) they said cannot be done. So at least now if the latest special edition batch got, sure they can either retrofit or at least can't claim donno if something goes wrong with the autocruise (which I plan to install later).

Prices vary lah bro ... depends on whether your control module got the autocruise function. If got, it should just be a case of buying the new stalk and some vagcom coding. If got to get new control module, I don't even want to ask man.

i asked in singapore ard SGD400... a bit pricey ... was tempted to just swap from my golf to rocco... but dun wanna mess with the stock config loh .. so must find alternative...
RM550 mana ? if not mistaken heard fr Mavik APR sells .. must ask him later
*
Really? Damn that's expensive ... if you're talking about purely the stalk, it's around USD130 with shipping:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...796&mfe=sidebar

There are other sellers where you can get it cheaper. APR dude that day said no stock for cruise control stalk.

If it's too much of a hassle to get autocruise, I'll just go for REVO lah later.

cudn't sleep just now after watching the French Open.. gatal so went n DIY-ed the pedals. Not as simple as i thought...

damn... was sweating like crazy and felt like a fool crouching beside my car malam malam buta at the carpark trying to figure out how to unlatch the pedal fr the floor..  the previous youtube diy clip i found was a bit diff as it was for the R32 so i cudn't get my gas pedal to come off (diff mechanism)...  With ipad in hand... browsing for new info on the web.. finally found an article on dismantling the gas pedal for Golf V...  even then it's still tough as the latch is quite firm. but finally got it off and overall very satisfied with the outcome ...  guess that's the fun & joy of DIYing ..haha

now shud dyno the car .. prob increase 20HP dy ... thumbup.gif

Just wondering, will your new bodykit retain the functionality of the front parking sensors?
