According to HowStuffWorks.com
Induction cooker is the most efficient cooker (interms of energy in and output)

Therefore I think induction is better in the long run.

I think u mistaken heater cooker as induction cooker

heater cooker use high resistance coils as heat element
induction cooker use alternating magnetic flux
how the hell magnet can cause fire lah....
