QUOTE(ProbMan @ Apr 2 2012, 10:09 AM)
At this rate, is EPL still worth watching? U know how MU gonna win their 20th Title? Here's what gonna happen on the fateful gloomy day of 30th April. FA's (Ferguson Association) referee will red carded and sent off one of Man City player and then they will have another penalty to seal the title. 2012 is indeed real doomsday year of total destruction to football.  shocking.gif

I beg to differ on the above opinion.
EPL is still worth watch - what about the 4th placing between Spurs and Chelsea?
The top position is not MU as yet as there are 7 more games to play. What if MU falters in 2 or 3 of their upcoming games. Has ManC got a chance then?
Wait and see.

if cant win the league pls trash man u (6-1 last time) real good. okay ? go city !
*
Well, this time it will be touch and go.
Not easy going to beat MU 6 goals again with Balotelli out of the picture. Kompany is back, at least that is a strong point for ManC.
MU will get back Nani, Evans and one more player who were in the injury list.
So it is going to be an exciting derby.

Didn't know Man City's page is full of UTD'S fans. Sry for post it was meant for City fans. Won't be comin back. Good Luck! City!
*
I may not be a City fan (actually an Evertonian) but I travel between Kops, Emirates, Ol Trafford and Etihad's thread (mostly British clubs) for discussions, exchanging opinion etc.
Anyway Gud Luck in City's next game.

Arsene Wenger joked Manchester City may try to poach more of his Arsenal players after watching his current crop put his former stars to shame.

Haha

IMHO, City is a "mini Arsenal" but still cannot match the current young Arsenal team. rclxms.gif

Dun spend big oso does not necessary buy u trophies and glories as well.
Anyway, IMO, wise spending on players and making each individual players play as one unit in the team is the most important in hunting trophies and glories.

Mancini is right and I agree City has no chance to win the title.
Because MU is the bestest team with lots of history to quote MU fans. " Mental strength bla bla bla..."

*
NAh, that was Mancini playing mind games, saying City no chance to win the League, MU will win their 20th title ....bal, bla, bla.

Not sure about ManC fans, but as an Evertonian fan, I think all the fans are watching both Manchester games with tension. When MU drew with Everton and ManC won at Wolves, ManC fans rejoice saying there is a chance at the Derby to beat MU.

Dont worry about the money.... its the same bullshit story when Chelsea 1st under RA.... come on.... be realistic, money cant buy success.... you still need the right player and the right manager to perform ur duty on the pitch.... money dont play football, money dont manage football.... but people!!!! i agree that with the right investment on players and manager, it can lead to success.... but buying success.... totally bull....

*
Agreed on the above statement.
Money cannot literally buy success, but with money, getting theright player (whatever the cost), the right manager and getting all these 11 players (more if including reserves) to work as a team will definately get the Success!!

Anyway Congrats to ManC for winning the Manchester derby.
SAF will have a terrible nightmare to know that MU lost by goal differences (provided both Manchester teams won their last 2 games)

Awesome header by Kompany. Good job City for getting the 3 points from MU.

Mancini vs Ferguson lol biggrin.gif
*
Yes, Kompany was at the right place at the right time to head in the Goal.
Now, it is Mancini 2 SAF 0

Congrats to MCity for becoming the 2012 League Champion and pipping MU for the top position.

I think RMancini will rebuild the team again with some players going out "For Sale" in the coming months.

Vincent Komapny won my respect wholeheartedly at the interview after they won it.

He said amongst the line of the players weren't not all about the money and most of them dreamed this as a kid to win the title.

Surely a true captain and a leader amongst men.
*
Yes, a true Leader, this Kompany guy.

City fans just doubled up over the past 2 years. I wonder how many of you guys are City fans before they got their sugar daddies lol.. Mind you nothing wrong with that.

But beware if you think City cannot be caught. Everyone said MU was in a decline (gonna be owned) when Chelsea won their EPL under Mou those years ago. We came back. Earlier on it was Arsenal. We came back. When the current bunch of title winning dudes for City aged (just take a look at Chelsea), that's where the decline's gonna be and because City did not build up like the rest of the regular big boys, you guys gonna struggle again.

Credit where it's due. I watched the final day and City's definitely worthy champions. That's some grit and believe and determination.

Just need to add though, credit to United for fighting all the way. City played their best football in their history and only won on goal difference. This must be one of the weakest United side since the EPL inception and almost won it. If I were City I would be scared for next season. Unlike City players who can only get older and be in a decline, Man U has alot of young players who are not in their peak yet. This means they can only get better the more they play.

Fair play to City, the best team of 2011/12 won, on to next season and EPL is surely one of the most exciting, if not already, leagues in the world.
*
Yesss! Agreed 100%!
Eagerly waiting for the next season.

I feel when people talk bout experience in general its not the whole team but certain players who may be first time playing champions league gets a little shaky due to pressure or some other things. Tactics plays a part to and mancini i think is a great tactician but this also depends on how the players react to it and also however good a tactician you are sometimes you lose too and of course tension in the fitting room effects it as well.
Wether city should win a cl or not is not the right question, i feel its more like do they have the power to win or do they deserve to win it. Well obviously yes they spent so much and they were the champion of england but winning it is another thing. Its not easy lar winning ucl laugh.gif
*
Agreed. Players may have experience playing in different leagues, but playing in the CL is "electrifying". Maybe, this went up to certain players head and create tension/pressure to do well and had the whole team not playing to their true potential.
Mancini can have his tactics, but whether it works depend on 2 factors IMO :
1) whether the players can play true to their potential in executing Mancini tactics
2) whether opponents found a better way to nullify Mancini's tactics.

with the amount of money invest.. they should be able to qualify with ease... but.. it not going to be like that...

manchini is a great tactician?? come on...
*
Money invested does not guarantee success. Money only play the part in getting the better or the best player available. What makes a team ticks is how all the individual players gel together as a team and work well as a whole unit.
I agreed with Rhicebowl's comment. Many things to consider and money thrown in and expect success in short time is not going to come. (Quote : "It does help in creating success but not instantenously and does not guarentees it.")
