Dear all. Any idea how to fix the mkv to support external subtitle other than rename to a shorter file name?

It's not necessary to have shorter name but both mkv and subtitle should have same name right?

Yes. Both files are same name but still cannot detect the external subtitles especially the srt format. No problem for my bd1.
Example :
The.Avengers.2012.BluRay.720p.DTS.x264-CHD (Movie)
The.Avengers.2012.BluRay.720p.DTS.x264-CHD.eng (Subtitle)

as geforce mentioned, the word .eng is the possible cause why the subtitle is not showing

Problem is i have 1 eng subtitle and 1 chinese subtitle and that is why i need to add in eng or chn at the back else the file will be overwritting. cry.gif

Just add like this.

The.Avengers.2012.BluRay.720p.DTS.x264-CHD.mkv
The.Avengers.2012.BluRay.720p.DTS.x264-CHD.eng.srt
The.Avengers.2012.BluRay.720p.DTS.x264-CHD.chs.srt

Try and cannot detect the external subtitle as well. Is there any setting i set wrongly in setup. Most of the item i set it to auto.
